The Kokesh for Congress Campaign is proud to announce the first ever REAL MONEY BOMB in American history. That's right: a money bomb with real money. Unlike the US Dollar, real money is supposed to be worth something, and backed by more than just empty promises and wishful thinking. Therefore, this ongoing fundraising drive is intended to both raise money for the campaign, and raise awareness about sound monetary policy.

Donate gold or silver to the campaign, and we won't spend it until we need it for media buys when it will probably be worth more than it is now. If you don't already own gold or silver, or don't want to go through the process of mailing it to us, you can donate online (http://kokeshforcongress.com/contribute) and include "real money bomb" in the memo. We will invest it accordingly.

We are also having a video contest to promote the Real Money Bomb (http://www.kokeshforcongress.com/real-money-bomb-details). We have recorded an audio track (http://www.kokeshforcongress.com/sites/kokesh.netboots.net/files/rmb.mp3) for you to start with. Make a video with this audio, upload it to YouTube, and the producer of the video with the most views by Adam's birthday, February 1st, wins an all expense paid vacation to Santa Fe to hang out with Adam and the team at campaign headquarters. To download the audio and read the rules for this contest, please click here (http://www.kokeshforcongress.com/node/422).

Guard yourself against inflation, invest in liberty, and donate some gold or silver today! You can send it to us as an in kind contribution at PO Box 1062, Santa Fe, NM 87504. For more information about how to donate, please click here (http://www.kokeshforcongress.com/real-money-bomb-details).

Someday, your children and grandchildren will ask you what you did for freedom when America was being stolen right out from underneath us. I know I want to have a darn good answer. It's time to end this fraud, and together, we can do it.

So the Silver Eagles count as a dollar each, correct? Since it's at face value?

Unfortunately, we don't yet live in a truly free society, and there are some limits to how you can donate to political campaigns -- even when dealing with real money, and not the play money that most of the FEC regulations are intended to apply to as part of the “incumbent protection plan.”

If you are sending us physical metal by mail, please insure your shipment.

If your metal is in the form of actual US Currency, like Silver Eagles, you can count them as face value, but in that case they count as cash, and we can only accept cash donations of up to $100. You also have the option of counting your donation by the market value as an in kind contribution, and in that case, the normal limit of $2,400 per person per cycle applies.

If you are donating metal that is not denominated as currency, it must be counted as an in kind contribution, and the normal limit applies in that case as well. If you are donating cash through the website, and are requesting that it be invested in metals, we will put it in a fund that will be used to purchase precious metals in the most practical manner. To make an online donation, please click here. (https://kokesh.netboots.net/contribute)

To make a donation of physical metal, please send it to:

Kokesh For Congress

PO Box 1062

Santa Fe, NM 87505

THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT, AND FOR MAKING HISTORY WITH US!

1.) Is the insured value of the shipment the same amount that will be counted as an "in kind contribution" if the donation is in bullion form?

2.) Would a $100 "cash donation" preclude a donor from donating another $2300 as an "in-kind" donation? In other words, let's say someone sends in 100 American Silver Eagles with a face value of one dollar each. If the 100 Silver Eagles count as a $100 cash donation, does that mean there is a remaining $2300 limit for "in kind" contributions?

Just curious!

FEC laws are tricky. I'll see that these are run past our lawyers. My off-hand thoughts are that #1 is yes, and # 2 has to do with the law that we can not accept more than $100 in "cash" in any one donation...

Silver and Gold are counted and accepted as "in-kind" contributions and are not considered a cash donation. The value of the "in-kind" contribution is counted on day it is received by campaign as valued if it was cashed in. Whatever the total combination is, it can't exceed $2400. So if you donated silver with an in-kind contribution value of $100 if cashed in the date received, but it increased by $50 by the time we actually cashed it in, it would still be counted as a $100 "in-kind" donation. This means you could still donate $2300.
