Everything for my dog is already a tax deduction as he is a viable business expense.

I remember reading that the IRS once got a guy for writing off his dog as a business expense. His justification was that Fido was his security system.

Why so mad bob?
They should do a tax credit for everything, then we wouldnt have to pay federal income taxes anymore.

My dog is not primarily for security, but he does do that role too. His primary job is a carcass detection unit. Here are all his business roles...

In the realm of Pest inspection:
1. Carcass detection
2. Nesting site locator
3. Trail tracker

In the realm of Animal control
4. Live animal chaser and cornerer
5. Rodent killer

In the realm of office security
6. Potential employee screener
7. Nocturnal Perimeter Alarm system.

Definitely a viable business expense. I consider his trips to the vet as Employee benefits.

Many senior citizens, especially those having to pay for maintenance drugs will be overjoyed that their food is now tax deductible! I guess Pelosi had to give them a token now that she's cutting Medicare part D and making co-pays skyrocket, but not giving them a cost of living increase...
