I just watched the cartoon adaption of Animal Farm on Youtube.
I think it fits us and our present situation better than it did the Communist Revolution.
Our Government is full of Pigs.

I read the book, I think I shall watch it and see how well they did at the adaption.

I like the movie better - has more personality, and the animation format worked great.

1984 the movie is nearly unwatchable though - very disappointing.

Yes 1984 the Book is much better than movie.

btw. BOTH animal farm & 1984 were REQUIRED reading for me in high school. I understand that both of these books are now listed on the "banned" books list along with song of the south???

I have attempted to "make" my daughter read both 1984 & animal farm. She says 1984 is too boring.... but im trying to get her to read it anyways.

There is a really cool illustrated book version of Animal Farm that I have read, illustrated by Ralph Steadman, who also did illustrations for Hunter S Thompson's book Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

They sell it at Barnes & Noble.

The cartoon version of Animal Farm is one of my kids favorite movies. I haven't explained the meaning of it yet, but the seeds of truth have been planted.

Animal Farm the book was better imo.

I haven't read 1984, but I can't imagine it is not vastly better than the movie.
