View Full Version : Kucinich: How My Friend Describes Him

The quote below is mt friend, who lives in Cleveland, describing Kucinich and his politics. I've never known the guy to say anything good about politicians in general, much less a left-leaning Democrat, so this really surprised me:

In reality everyone loves the guy. I'm sure if you me him on the street you would also love the guy. He is honest and refuses to play games and lie just to get something done even if it really needs done.

What I'm saying is the problem (with Cleveland's economy) wasn't Dennis. The problem really was everyone else but what difference does it make? Things have to get done and you can't replace everyone **EXCEPT* Dennis so he had to go.
The banks said he wouldn't work deals behind doors and worse yet if they proposed something shady he would go right to the media with the whole story.

Finally they threw their hands up and said "We can't work with this guy" and foreclosed on Cleveland. Then all of his loyal 60's hippies got annoyed with him real quickly and wanted him gone right now. I doubt anyone ever really hated the man though. There are places that are begging for a man like Dennis Kucinich but the presidency just isn't it! I've seen Dennis in action and I've seen the Congress in action. I guarantee the place would literally explode in 6 months.

I don't like him.

I think he is a good guy but horribly ignorant (as are his supporters).

yes. I think his supporters attack Ron Paul because they're blaming him for taking their votes away lol

Dennis is a genuine, honest guy. I wouldn't vote for him as I think his policies are bad, but I know the guy really wants to help-- Something I can't say for pretty much any politican except Ron Paul.

I think he is honest, but I can't support is big government socialist principles. To him the Constitution is meaningless, unless it supports his position at the time.

He may be honest, but definitely has "big government socialist principles."

I gave the guy a chance, but when I heard him say he would pay reparations for slavery....he lost me.

If ron paul weren't in the running, I would gladly support a nice honest guy, even if I didn't agree with him. I think its a lot safer than voting for someone who isn't honest. As long as all the cards are out on the table, you know what you are up against. When people are underhanded and secretive though, they can do some damage before you even realize it.

I agree with most about Kucinich's principles. Other than Dr. Paul, Kucinich leaves nothing to the imagination about how he would run the country. I think he is genuine and cares deeply about social issues. I simply cannot support someone that believes in the fallacy of Socialism... man's overall goodness... and unrealistic desire for peace. History teaches us differently. Department of Peace?... We have that already...it's called the Dept. of Defense.

He was my congressman for a long time and I like him but he should stay where he is. He will really help you out if he can. But he is anti gun and pro amnesty. Seems to be a man with integrity, just a little constitutionally misguided

If Paul weren't in it, I'd be supporting either him or Gravel.
