This is why we could never really afford to have free college education like what is offered in Europe.

Europe has standards. Students who do pass the education gauntlet to go to University are the academic cream of the crop (until recently).

Unthinking socialist wannabes here think we should have the same thing fail to realize that if we did emulate their standards, half of these bozos would not make it to college.

beware: this is the kind of thing the Feds like to say when scaring people into allowing them more power. :p The standard solution will be more centralization of education, loss of local control over schools, and more. Guard your freedoms jealously!
