I just received the following e-mail. I suggest we do this.

- ML

From: Mark Cross EA <FL C4L Coordinator>

The Republican Party has set up its own social networking site at
www.GOP.com

Several days ago I applied to start a group called Ron Paul Republicans,
describing it in much the same manner as the C4L mission statement. Much to
my surprise, it was just approved.

http://our.gop.com/Groups/Ron_Paul_Republicans

If anyone is interested in joining, just register with GOP.com and join the
group.

On the main group page, they show the most popular groups. The top group so
far is GOP Bloggers with about 60 + members.

I think it would be fun to see Ron Paul Republicans in the number one slot.

What do you think?

Hmm, the synic in me thinks they would love to box all the ron paul devoted up in one corner of the GOP site. Im curious to see how it plays out.

My would be to have the philopshy of liberty flooding that site regardless :)

At first I said ooooh no, im not getting on the gop mailing list. But then I thought wouldnt it be interesting to see this section get the most traffic and really show the GOP what they are missing out on.
Im hesitantly signing up.

Maybe they will start to see the light. Make sure to screen shot the membership numbers, as well as that we are #1. Would love to get direct solid proof if they marginalize us on their own site.

If I'm not mistaken, there was a "featured group" at the top of the main "groups" page that was taken down yesterday. No biggie... I was poking around yesterday and noticed that admin seems to "befriend" everyone automatically. I looked at the profile and saw ~2500 friends...

Does that mean there are ~2500 users on the site? and can we double that in a couple days?

:D

This is a great opportunity for us to speak inside and spread our values. remain respectable and on topic. we can show the GOP that we are the future.
