The layout is ok. It'll take a bit to get used to but overall its good. I don't like the bigger avatar idea tho. I don't have one obviously nor do I want one but I like to think this forum is somewhat "serious business" and once you start going down the road of big avatars (and huge sigs won't be far behind) it starts to lose the "serious" feel. Small, uniform avatar size keeps things uncluttered.

Yea, I can add another style with the old format.

When the 4.0 software comes out. I am going to have to make a new template from scratch.

Will probably use this format instead of the old one if the majority like it.

1. The color scheme thing can be variable on most forums; you choose your preferences. The actual format is good in that there are (usually) not huge pictures and animations and avatars all over the place.

2. Something needs to be done about the fact things get bumped over with long nicks.

3. I'm not sure I like it. I'm not sure I hate it. I'm not sure that helps.

Having the status indicator and report button at the bottom of the user window doesn't make sense. The status indicator should be very close to the name and the report button, which, as is now, seems to be about reporting the user, should be either at the top-right where it used to be or at the bottom-right new the other post-specific buttons. I don't have a preference on vertical vs. horizontal.

This make reading posts a lot faster but now when reading through a thread you may not be as aware as to who wrote the posts unless you look to the side, which wont happen if reading fast. In that way all posts sort of blend in to each other in one big mess. One way to get around this is to have every user-name appear in small plane text at the bottom of the post.

Yeah, I know it takes a lot of effort to go all the way back to the top of the page when finished with a thread.... but, you know... lol Instant gratification is key in this internet world yes? :p just curious.

I dunno about all that. She just looks like an ordinary old woman. Seems to me that she just decided not to get the $4 million in plastic surgery like most Hollywood starlets do. Seems to me she should be celebrated for not being so superficial no?

But then again, Americans tend to have a warped sense of beauty anyway:

A lot of how she looks is a result of her disease and the weight is a side effect of the meds she has to take. Reality sucks.

And she sounds like she smoked a few packs a day  Yes, side effects do suck. I didn't say it was "her fault" but if you could pick how you'd turn out at a certain age, I think you'd be leaning more towards someone else. Saying someone ended up being less physically attractive than you'd like to be at that age isn't an insult to me, it's just an observation. Good Lord a lot of people (probably most) wouldn't want to look like me, either, but they'd want to cook as well as I do, be bilingual, be as tall as I am, etc. :) The lady has a lot going for her, but her looks and voice have gone to hell. Not to nitpick too much..

The 'new' left column boxes vary with the members 'Name' long_length+names. You may want to adjust the font size so that the left side is linear. Maybe shrink the left side more with the fonts, just looks cleaner/symmetry.

Ahh, yeah, there might be a setting that auto adjusts the font of the poster's name if the poster's name length exceeds the box size setting?
