Why not create a phone script about all the talking points on Ron Paul? Then have volunteers take a little quiz online or something to make sure they got the basics down and start calling people in New Hampshire and Iowa?
If someone asks "where does he stand on this?" then there's an answer in the script somewhere and the caller tells them the answer...
If there is no answer, we tell them we're going to ask the Ron Paul campaign for an official answer.... and tell them we'll call them back tomorrow (to make them feel special) and come here on the forum and ask our question and get our answer :)
Everyone here can spend 10 mins calling 10 people right? If thousands of us did this, we could make a real impact. I don't know about you guys but I get free long distance through vonange, it's only $25/mo for basic residential. We can all afford to do this, both time and money, so why don't we?
I'm sure if we all work together we can make this script very easily.

I was also thinking... in the script we could start it out by asking them if they'd like to participate in a survery... ask them who's their favorite candidate.....
If they say Ron Paul --- congratlations you're a great american ;)
If they say anyone else ---- we counter it based on our script
If they say some democrat --- we tell them why RP is better
If they say they're undecided ---- we tell them why they should choose RP

make it more like a real survey. list the candidates.
If you heard that Rudy Guliani has had 3 wives, would that make you More Likely to Vote for him, Less Likely to Vote for him, or about the same.
When you're doing push polling, you make up a name, like "American Survey Research", and you don't say anything about Ron Paul. If you're gonna argue with a stranger, it might be best to pretend you like the other guy. Ask the Guiliani question. Ask "if you knew that Mormons believe that Jesus spent some time in the United States, would that make you more likely to vote for Mitt Romney"
That type of thing. Make it seem like you like, I dunno, McCain. It creates doubts about the candidate you're targeting, and makes them dislike the campaign that has people slamming other candidates. That's how it's done.
I'm not saying that push polling should be done, just that campaigns do it all the time. In 92, it was "if you knew Paul Tsongas had cancer" more likely, less likely, about the same. Funny stuff.
But basically, yes, major, well funded campaigns make a lot of phone calls.
You ID your voters based on voter lists, then you drive them to the polls.
First you ask em who they like. Then you ask how strongly they like their candidate. Then a couple weeks later, you make more phone calls. Call the undecideds, ask em again. Call the Giuliani people with the push polling about the wives. Call the Ron Paul people at a polite time the night before. Ask if they need a ride. Call during the day, calling your people asking if they need a ride.
(BTW, I did mix up Primary and General a little).
