A Dallas mother wants to change an obscure Texas law that allows parents to show their young children hardcore pornography.

Crystal Buckner claims her ex-husband made their two little girls watch graphic sex videos, but Buckner says the law protects him from being prosecuted.

"At one point, my eight-year-old closed her eyes and tried to look away and not watch. My ex-husband made her open her eyes and watch."

First he holds off abusing his kid until he finds out the government said its ok. Then she, instead of leaving the pervert, asks the government to change the law so he won't do it anymore.

Talk about sheep.

Someone needs to find that kid on the street while she's walking to school, tell her that her parents are a couple of assholes and that she should run away at the soonest opportunity.

EDIT: sorry, whole story says she did in fact divorce him before the incident.

The 30-year-old mother from Dallas divorced her husband seven years ago. Until recently, he had custody of their three daughters in Amarillo.

Buckner says she found out five months later when her daughters were in counseling. A therapist in Plano took notes detailing graphic descriptions by one of the young girls. The notes were given to CBS 11 by the girl's mother.

We never get the full story from the media. Not to jump to conclusions, but this has crazy ex-wife in child custody battle written all over of it.

I've heard some ex-wives tell some real whoppers, accusing dad's of all kinds of horrible things. Meanwhile she's the one who is really messing the kids up mentally. Happens a lot.

Oh, yes, "Parental Alienation Syndrome". I saw a Dr. Phil episode on that.

There's an awful lot of conclusion-jumping going on in threads lately. You don't know that the dad isn't showing porn to the kids, and you don't know that the mom is a psychopath. Is it possible? Sure thing. A lot of these people who want to challenge obscure laws go out of their way to fashion a case in order to do it.

Of course, it's also possible the dad is a lunatic and happened to know about this law and is using it as a vehicle to do really nasty things to kids against their will.

It's kind of a non-story until all the facts are out and both sides tell their versions, and that's for a court to nose into, not for me. Thank goodness.

I didn't say it was the case here, only that I've seen it happen, which is why it is important not to jump to the conclusion the MSM wants you to jump to here.

We don't have his side at all. Everything is coming from her. Why did he have custody instead of her in the first place?

It's not good to jump to conclusions, but I'd be willing to take a bet on how this turns out...

Buckner contacted police in Amarillo. They took their evidence to the Randall County district attorney who came across Texas penal code - section 43.24: 'the sale, distribution, or display of harmful material to minors.' in other words; pornography.

1) More than just pornography is considered "harmful material to minors". Have you ever seen one of those TV commercials that says "No one under the age of 17 admitted without parent or legal guardian"?

2) You don't have to actually break a law for a family court judge to deem you an unfit parent.

I'm betting what's happening is the mom is gunning for # 2 and is "trying the case in the media" hoping to influence the judge.

Sue him. If I was on the jury I'd give her a $1 million judgment easily.

Parents can walk around naked in front of their kids all day long...some do. Parents can have sex right in front of their kids...some do.
Parents can watch whatever they want with thier kids...MANY DO.

Parent's just cant tell the kids to join in....because you know..thats crossing the line..

Personally I think I'ts all wrong in a civilized society.
