Allegedly, an older bill co-sponsored by Ron Paul is set to come before the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime, Terrorism and Homeland Security. The only place I've seen this is Rawstory, so if anyone has info. on it being debate, please post it here.

To amend the Controlled Substances Act to provide an affirmative defense for the medical use of marijuana in accordance with the laws of the various States, and for other purposes.

I have to run, so briefly, my question is how this would apply in a state like texas where medical marijuana isn't on the books, but the supreme court has recognized "medical necessity" as a defense against charges stemming from possession and/or use.

If you have any thoughts on this, they would be much appreciated.

Thanks again.
