I heard on Hannity that NJ GOP Governor candidate Christie is accusing the 3rd party candidate of working for incumbent Corzine to split the anti-Corzine vote. This explains why liberal NJ newspapers built up the 3rd party guy so rapidly.

This is a trial run for the reelection of Obama by getting an independent to split the anti-Obama vote.

Daggett Candidacy Helping Corzine in New Jersey

New Jersey Gov. Jon Corzine leads Republican Chris Christie, 39 percent to 36 percent, still a statistical tie, but the biggest movement is for independent Chris Daggett, whose support is now up to 20 percent and may be part of the reason Corzine has inched past Christie, according to a Rutgers-Eagleton poll conducted Oct. 15-20. Five percent are undecided and the margin of error is 4.1 points.

"While Jon Corzine has made up a lot of ground in all the polls since last summer, he has not done it by increasing his support," said poll director David Redlawsk. "Instead, Chris Christie has lost support as some voters who are opposed to Corzine have become attracted to Chris Daggett."

Daggett draws from both potential Christie and Corzine supporters, but when voters are asked who they'd back if Daggett weren't on the ballot, 34 percent said they'd choose Christie, 28 percent would go to Corzine and 37 percent wouldn't vote.

The rise in Daggett's numbers -- this is the first poll where he's notched 20 percent -- traces to several factors, including the high "unfavorables" of the two major-party candidates and the fact that more voters are getting to know him.

Corzine is seen unfavorably by 52 percent of voters and favorably by 40 percent, while Christie is seen unfavorably by 42 percent and favorably by 39 percent.

While 53 percent of likely voters say they have not heard enough about Daggett to form a favorable or unfavorable opinion, Redlawsk says, "Overall, those voters who do know Daggett tend to like him, and those who like him support him at unprecedented levels for a New Jersey independent. The question remains whether he can hold on to those voters without the kind of organized turnout operation that the two major parties have in place."

I seriously don't see the difference between the three.

I don't think that Daggett is running specifcally to help corzine, although that is the way it is working out. Democrats, Unions and their liberal supporters have aided Daggett to take away votes from Christie.
