My daughter needed help writing an epic poem for her history class - I couldn't resist!


America, America; what have you done?
You've sent our soldiers into battle, to a war that can't be won.
You sent them halfway round the world to protect our oil lust.
But in five years we've gained nothing, while Bush betrayed our trust.


Our Constitution Fathers said to "Mind our own affairs"
But fourteen bases in Iraq just says we're staying there.
But guess who has to pay for this, guess who gets the bill?
It's you and me my friends, it's you and me who will.


Leaders we elected, representing you and me
Have all been bought and paid by Special Interests and Lobbies.
But the power of the ballot box can show them to the door
Unless they turn around and realize who they're working for.


America, America; it's time to wake up from your slumber
The Republic we have fought to keep is slowly going under
We need to find the reset button by Election Day 08
America needs a Doctor who can heal this Country Great!

This is a great poem. Since I have had a few drinks my ideology has taken over my reality. (This means the poem is even MORE moving).

What is the purpose of Ron? Is it perpetuating an Ideology or compromise in the mask of realism?

The older I get the more Ideological I become. Ironicly I used to always think the younger were more idealistic.

What happens is he win the nomination? If he doesn't win?

I hope beyond hope none of this fades regardless of result.
