Too little too late. Whoever the candidate ends up being will definately be spouting Ron Paulisms. Whether they are indeed for Liberty or not remains to be seen.

Ive said it before, Starting over this whole idea of promoting a new liberty candidate is not an option. RP must be drafted.

We can not start from scratch building a new movement.

Agree, but having more than one liberty candidate running isn't a bad idea.

That is a great point, however when it comes to money we are better off focusing on one person.

In 2008, our biggest liability was Ron Paul's name recognition and media attention.

In 2012, our biggest asset will be Ron Paul's name recognition and media attention.

Some of you need to wake up, truly. Every single American knows who Ron Paul is today. He stands an unbelievable chance of winning if he runs. Do you have any idea how bad the country is going to be in 2012... People are going to finally want someone "different", and that will be Ron Paul.

If he runs in 2012 the media will black him out just as they did in 2008. He will get 1% of the airtime the other candidates get.

I still want him to run though...just so I at least have a horse in the race. Otherwise I will just tune out the elections.

As someone who supports the free market, I believe that 3 or 4 liberty candidates early on will be ideal. That way the strongest candidate will survive and shortly after the Iowa straw poll a clear leader will be determined.

I'd love to see Paul, Johnson, Schiff, Napolatino and Paul (father vs son...woo!) all up there competing for how much smaller they can make the government...while the idiot neo-cons are left scratching their heads.

When the big banks started failing, all that I kept thinking of was what would have happened
if they started failing six months earlier when Dr. Paul was in the middle of the debates
warning of these things.

I really dont think Ron has the energy to do it, Johnson for me would be ideal IF he is committed to it and running on RP style issues. I think he could do well in NH I'm not sure Ron can despite them claiming to love liberty there

As long as Ron still has a brain he can do it. The guy is more athletic than me though and I bet he could out bike ride Obama with his smoker lung.

Ron Paul 2012!

It's a no brainer if he runs. I just hope that he can be persuaded that this is the time..... it's ripe for his platform...... and that he's the best person at this moment in history to be the torchbearer.

I have a feeling if Paul thought he could win he would definetly run. We'll see what happens in the next few years. :D

What counts in Iowa is who is number 1,2,and3. After we finidhed fifth we fell off the national press radar. The fifth place finish in Iowa sealed us as dead. No candidate has ever been nominated by either major party who did not win Iowa or New Hampshire.

The Chris Matthews Show - it came on for me Sunday @ 11:35 at night on NBC (the broadcast channel, not the cable news). I never heard of it before but I was looking through the tv guide last night looking for something to watch and figured 'sure, what the hell'.
