Democratic and Republican lawmakers cannot agree on whether to get the swine flu vaccine even after this week’s first reported case of a member of Congress catching the illness.

Some, like Minority Leader John Boehner (Ohio), are choosing not to get vaccinated, at least not immediately. But others, like Rep. Nydia Velazquez (D-N.Y.), want it but can’t get it; she tried, but is not among the vulnerable categories that have first call on limited supplies.

The debate on Capitol Hill mirrors one taking place all across the country, as a new Washington Post/ABC News poll shows a majority of Americans increasingly worried that they or a member of their family will contract the H1N1 virus but also that six in 10 are not planning to get the vaccine.

Is it just me, or is Boehner becoming a pretty darn good Minority leader? I don't see him get much credit on here, but so far he has shown decent leadership.

Boener voted for the bailouts. He is not one to be trusted. However, he sometimes does some good things such as his oppostion to Cap and Trade, and calling "crap and trade".

That being said he is only acting good because his party is out of power.

I've generally been pretty impressed with him. If you call into his office, even if you are from out of his state and say you have an idea for him / our side - you will be forwarded to his voice mail.
