It's a bill about the coast guard - increased their size, tougher penalties for illegal aliens, changed fishing rules, allows self defence against pirates without penalty, etc.

11 critters voted against it, only one was a dem. wondering if Paul was one of the repubs...

watching this vote, what got me thinking was the bill number... 3619. Lets say each bill was only a page long - when was the last time you read a 3,619 page book? That's allmost 10 pages a day IF each bill was a single page and you read 365 days a year. Some of these bills are the size of phone books.

What I'm getting at here is that I think it would be physically impossible for a person to read every bill before Congress. How can we get them to SLOW DOWN!????

Repeal the 16th and 17th Amendments.

Repealing the 16th will take away their money supply

Repealing the 17th will give the states back their voice and will definitely slow down this garbage

Where did you find out that they voted on this? OpenCongress and Govtrack still have it listed as pre-vote.
