Why is Stossel on Fox now? What happened to ABC? I think he's on the level, but I'm always weary of anyone on this network...

Stossel & Imus are now on FBN. There's rumors Lou Dobbs may join as well. It's not necessary an economics channel.

A lot of the cheerleaders on CNBC do have an economics background. Does that make them right or even informative? Maybe the fact that Stossel doesn't have an economics background is one of his strong points.

On another note: Peter Schiff is not an economist. He graduated with a degree in finance and accounting but does NOT have an economics degree. Yet everyone calls him an economist. You can say, "but he studied the great economists of the past, so he knows a lot about real economics." So has John Stossel. Stossel often refers to Walter Williams and economists at the Cato Institute and Reason. He even recommends the book "Defending the Undefendable" by Walter Block. Yet Stossel's never had a formal education in the field of economics.

Stossel took the Fox News job obviously because they will air more of his opinion. He had a lot of ideas at ABC, but they turned down a lot of them for whatever reason.

At Fox News, it seems Stossel will be a guest on many programs and he will probably have more hour long specials.
