Mr. Jeff Knox, host of www.GunVoter.org (a forum) has opened his arms :) to www.ThisNovember5th.com (http://www.ThisNovember5th.com). Its membership list is small, but that can actually work in our favor. I feel that Ron Paulians will be very welcome there as long as you don't act stupid....like hopping on your own soap box that has nothing to do with personal liberty or the 2nd amendment.

This is a great opportunity to expand the movement to quality people and get the word out about our candidates.

happy hunting

Great news and good job :) - Perhaps this would be better in "Bearing Arms"? Flag the thread if you want it moved...

First off, thank you Mr. Knox for the invitation! My name is Nathan and I teach piano in Houston, TX. Although I don't own nor have I ever fired a gun, I believe very strongly that arms are an essential part of maintaining a free and open society. Our founders were very clear when they wrote the 2nd Amendment. It's purpose of course is to keep our government working for us and not the other way around. Jefferson was able to publicly and so boldly declare the colonies independent from the English Crown because the colonists were armed. He knew an ocean was not enough to protect the colonies from the imperial onslaught that inevitably came.

Friends, as you well know, our inalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are under a much larger, more dynamic, and most insidious attack by those who view our contract with the state and federal governments, our Constitution, as simply a "suggestion". As a nation we have been distracted and lulled into a false sense of security by an ever encroaching government. And while the time to exercise our 2nd Amendment right may come sooner than we'd like, today we can still resist peacefully. That is why I am asking you today to visit http://www.ThisNovember5th.com and learn about some concerned citizens who have decided that it is their time to sacrifice for their states and their country by running for office.

All candidates are not career politicians. Most are running for the first time. Obviously, keeping up with the campaign coffers of D.C. insiders is quite a challenge. This is the beauty of our message though. A message of Freedom, Liberty, The Constitution and Rule of Law. A message that spreads like a wildfire through withered fields. We don't need hundreds of millions of dollars to take back our country, only "an irate, tireless minority".

Please visit http://www.ThisNovember5th.com Pledge and donate to the candidate of your choice, and spread the message far and wide.

couldn't decide between bearing arms or 2010 planning since it's about Nov 5. So I chose middle ground.

Good thinking, maybe a later move... Nice letter :)

"Although I don't own nor have I ever fired a gun, I believe very strongly that arms are an essential part of maintaining a free and open society."

I commend you for defending a right which you do not use. Seriously. People think that only complete nuts support the 2nd, and they think that only pot smokers want to end the war on drugs...

On the other hand, never fired a gun! What! ;)

I don't own either, but am adamant about keeping this right. If we don't have the 2nd amendment, we cannot defend any of the others.

Thanks for the link, I'll pass it on.
