and just to let everyone know, the song they used for the movie isn't really one of our best.
we've had several songs make the radio circuit.
this is one that played on radio stations in Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas for over 2 years:
Manical - Willow Run (ver.A).mp3 (http://www.upload-mp3.com/files/108584_fxml0/Manical%20-%20Willow%20Run%20%28ver.A%29.mp3)

It wasn't one of my personal favorites, but people seemed to dig it.

one more radio song to share: Vision - Don\'t Pass Me By.mp3 (http://www.upload-mp3.com/files/108591_z01td/Vision%20-%20Don%5C%27t%20Pass%20Me%20By.mp3)
we had several names over the years... we were briefly called vision until we found out 254 other bands had that name.

Don't give away everything.... give us a link to buy your full album :)

those albums are sold out.
I think the only ones you can find are people who are re-selling their copies.
These are the only ones I've found: http://www.amazon.com/Danyule/dp/B00005IA3F/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1255789236&sr=8-1 (this would be our first album)

And no, I'm not the one selling those on amazon. I may still have one copy hangin around the house. Danyule may have a few, but they are lost in storage somewhere.
We did purchase a recording studio, but probably won't start our next recording project until January.
I know people traded our music on Kazaa years ago, not sure if you can find any out there anymore.
Our band names over the years changed, I have songs published under various names-
Danyule
Vision
Manical
Mary Francis

there is no solo in that one.
if that is the kind of thing you are into- you'd like Willow Run or Don't Pass Me By better.
Some one like me filled a piece of the timeline on that particular album. not one of my favorites.

How long you guys been playing together? I like your sound... :)

I've been playing since 1996.
I had a couple small punk bands, then I met Danyule in 1999.
Danyule and I have been writting music together since them.
Other band members have come and gone.

our music style is complete different from all the other original bands in the area.
we live in a metal scene :D

But even then, they feature our music on compilation cds.

This song- lover detour was given extremely high marks and was place in the middle of a metal compilation cd-

Vision - Lover Detour.mp3 (http://www.upload-mp3.com/files/109123_km8nn/Vision%20-%20Lover%20Detour.mp3)

Critics wrote about how we were the one band that stuck out of the mold. In a music culture that prided itself on uniqueness, we took the crown.

Music was never really about the money for us- so we don't have any problems with people sharing our music for free.

Those who buy our album get something special and limited in print. That is why you see them trading for such high cost.

Different band names, basically same people playing most of them.
Danyule and I wrote and recorded all of the above.

ok, I added one more song today.
This one isn't an official recording, just an idea we are working on-
Mary Francis - Kiss Me in the Rain.mp3 (http://www.upload-mp3.com/files/109969_qrmks/Mary%20Francis%20-%20Kiss%20Me%20in%20the%20Rain.mp3)

it won't be as polished as the others, but still a good song.

added this lyrics for this one:

All I have to say is how nice your complexion is...
Not the slightest worry, baby doll, Barbie, souvenirs…
Try to make-up your mistakes,
Try to make me see the fake,
Baby, you're too close
And I don’t want you to shine on me!

I want to know what you look like without the paint,
Come with me I want to kiss you in the rain.

Why did you have to touch me?
Why did you have to make me feel ashamed?
I’m the clown tonight
You didn’t tell me not too anyway…
What’s the crime in being you?
People know what people choose.
Baby, turn your face
Because I don’t want to shine on you.

You want to know what I look like without the paint.
Come with me I want to kiss you in the rain.

Dream of me at night when you don’t have me to see you through
Joining eyes and joining hearts,
Lovers be as lovers are…
Joining eyes and joining hearts,
Lovers be as lovers are…
Joining eyes and joining hearts,
Lovers be as lovers are…

you'd be even more impressed if you knew that all the "manical" recordings were done with just one SM 57 mic, a drum machine, and lil' roland recorder with two 1/4" inputs. an older version of something like this: http://www.rolandus.com/products/productdetails.php?ProductId=917&ParentId=109

the recorder has an effects wheel on it, so we just plugged all the instruments straight into the recorder.

we've recorded at a full range of studios, from million dollar studios to $250 dollar studios. in today's digital world- it makes lil' difference.
More important are your mics, your mic placements, the type of room you are in (walls, floors, etc)

I use soundforge for post production mastering and just computer moniters for reference.

The lyrics to Black Widow

I'm trapped and my widow, she is black
I'm whispering because she is coming back.
She told me not to underestimate
The kind of trouble she could surely make
I am no longer free to take life in without it smelling like you've been around me.
And I can't make it through my day unless I pull this ball and chain behind me.

She makes me lay with her beside her head
And I lay silent wishing to be dead
My circulation magnifies the fangs
So now I'm slowly raisining away
I am no longer free to take life in without it smelling like you've been around me.
And I can't make it through my day unless I pull this ball and chain behind me.

I don't know why I build these walls- build them up so high...
Why am I hiding?
And after giving extra hope... I gave so much hope...
The love is still dying...
Its dying...
It smells like you've been around me.
And after giving extra hope, we gave so much hope.
The love is still dying.
Its dying.

we have songs that hinge around certain images.
we have a song called "blow this apart", in the lyric book you'd be given an image of a dandelion.
The song isn't about dandelions, but the conception is blowing the dandelion apart as a symbol.

A willow tree requires a lot of water to survive. It won't survive in the middle of a desert.
"Trees like you don't belong in the desert".

Maybe i'll type up the lyrics later. But this is another example of how we take an object and use it to symbolize a feeling.
