LEAK: Rand Paul: "Rand Paul said. By Sunday, they had done just that. And Rand Paul said his father might end the third fundraising quarter with more cash on hand than most of the other Republicans. "

alot closer than the msm 250 estimate. How can you be so far off, its easy when you just lie. About 10 people come to McCains.

ya McCains was really bad. It looked like a group he brought with him.

$5 plus million

My guess in the final two weeks alone paul raised about $2m with online donations.

Last quarter he had more cash on hand than most other Republicans. He was 3rd if I recall correctly. I already expected this, but what does it relaly mean though?

ItsTime

well at the rally Ron Paul said he was living off 2Q funds alone. So he as little of that left so he might have raised well over $5 million this Q? The last two weeks he had to have raised just over $2m online alone.

Sometimes I wonder what Ron Paul will spend all this on. Its not enough for a decent advertising push but far more than standard operational expenses. Kind of a dead zone for fund-raising, it seems.

Dustancostine

It is enough for a decent radio push though.

here's a comment I see on there, shows you that those over pass banners are at least getting people searching

I saw a Dr. R.P. banner this morning on an overpass. I couldn't figure out as I passed it by, why the letter "L" was backwards. So, I googled it, and it is the word "LOVE" spelled backwards, but I'm not really sure how that fits with the Ron Paul campaign. I'm just glad it wasn't graffiti. This is probably my most meaningless post to date.

That's true. I think a huge effort needs to be made to win NH. That's our most fertile ground, and small enough to bombard with ads, plus its relevance as an early primary state.

Has anyone seen anything on the burn rates of Dr Paul and others?

And Rand Paul said his father might end the third fundraising quarter with more cash on hand than most of the other Republicans. "We may have more money on hand than Romney if you subtract what he's given himself," he said.

LOL...I don't know why, that just cracks me up and makes me happy.

I know RP is not extremely rich, but what would the MSM do if he put about 6 mil of his own money in to add to what we donated so that he would come out on top this quarter?

Does Ron Paul have 6m? lol.

I looked at his FEC filings. Ron Paul is a millionaire with a lot of money in gold investments, but I don't know if he has 6 million to front.

Dustancostine

Well Gold has doubled since 2002, so I am sure he is doing well as far as his investment is going.

From NBC/NJ’s Mike Memoli
Even a half hour after Ron Paul's "Revolution" rally ended in downtown Manchester, there was a crowd larger than other candidates could only hope to draw. The campaign estimated that as many as 800 people showed up as the Texas congressman kicked off a canvassing effort in New Hampshire's three largest cities.

The campaign gave out buttons asking: "Who is Ron Paul?" But who are Ron Paul's supporters? "I think they're new to the process," said Paul's son, Rand Paul. "We definitely have Democrats that are crossing over, Libertarians crossing over, Independents crossing over. And I think the people that come out are definitely gonna vote."

Rand Paul said that every day he's surprised at "how big" his father's campaign has gotten. Last week, they asked supporters to raise $500,000. "They passed that in three days, and now we're asking them to raise a million," Rand Paul said. By Sunday, they had done just that. And Rand Paul said his father might end the third fundraising quarter with more cash on hand than most of the other Republicans. "We may have more money on hand than Romney if you subtract what he's given himself," he said.
Paul rejected a comparison to Howard Dean's Internet fueled 2004 campaign, which fizzled by the time votes were actually cast. "My dad has been going around the country for 30 years, and has a following," Paul said. "It's definitely a committed core. Howard Dean didn't have that cohesive message and a philosophy." What Dean and Paul have in common is their anti-war message. And Paul said his father's stance makes him the Republican with "the best chance of getting independent voters over."

Forgive me if this was posted earlier and I missed it. This is the best coverage I think I've seen by the MSM of a Paul event. Enjoy!

When Romney's numbers are released we need to tally the numbers based on what he's spent vs what his supporters have given to him.

Without putting money in himself, I'm sure he's in the hole.

I don't think he has enough money to run the country that way.

How much does Romney have? What does this mean? I'm guessing around $5 million for Ron Paul

kalami
10-01-2007, 03:55 PM
Romney had 3m cash on hand from last quarter. That's subtracting his 9m "loan" from his 12m cash on hand.

I would say Ron Paul has at least 3m cash on hand.

This is the best evidence I've seen that we can raise our expectations. Anyone know what Romney brought in? Rand Paul hinted we may eclipse him.

nonono

key is "cash on hand" not raised

kalami

Unless he had a spy in the Romney campaign, Rand Paul was just speculating. The hint isn't really that great of an indicator of how much Paul has in cash on hand.

Lol...calm down man...I'm not trying to be a posting fascist. Just thought it'd be a bit easier to dig around these forums if we didn't have so many duplicate posts, that's all.
