NORML is pleased to announce that House Bill 2929, which seeks to "regulate and tax the cannabis industry" in Massachusetts, will be heard by the Joint Committee on Revenue. The hearing will take place on Wednesday, October 14, at 10:00 AM in Room B2 of the State House.
As introduced, HB2929 and its companion bill, Senate Bill 1801, seek to legally regulate the commercial production and distribution of marijuana for adults over 21 years of age. These measures would impose licensing requirements and excise taxes on the retail sale of cannabis.
