I don't think many people who voted for Barr actually looked into him. The LP is very principled (Mostly), so they assumed he espoused the beliefs of the LP. We'll get back to the Ruwart's, Badnarik's, and Rothbardian approach. We even have a Rothbard Caucus in the LP (Along with the LPRadicals), if that tells you anything ;)
