The SC Dem party pretty much supported Graham over their own candidate. If that tells you anything.

Conley says S.C.'s Democrats controlled by far left

Democrat U.S. Senate candidate Bob Conley says the state's Democratic Party is controlled by people on the far left who have Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham on their side.

That was Conley's reaction Wednesday to remarks by from U.S. House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn that Conley was an unknown and that Democrats weren't working to beat Graham.

Conley says Democrats are ignoring their best chance to unseat Graham and the party's leaders are betraying members by implicitly supporting Graham.

Clyburn: Conley can stay out of line

U.S. House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn says no one needs to try to bring Democratic U.S. Senate candidate and Ron Paul supporter Bob Conley into line with the rest of the party's ticket as he challenges Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham.

"You don't bring him in line with the rest of the ticket," Clyburn said in a conference call with reporters Tuesday as he prepared for a Wednesday speech at the Democratic National Convention in Denver...

The fact of the matter is the South Carolina Democratic Party did not show any interest in mounting any kind of a campaign against Lindsey Graham," Clyburn said.

Let's hope we can get Graham to tuck and roll in the very near future.

Graham is too late if he thinks he can stop this rising tide of Ron Paul support. I guess he must be in denial of his political fate.

Flimsy Graham could've used a good sen-nap there.

Graham may just be pissed that his godson (one of Sanford's sons) has a chance to grow up believing in principles closer to RP's than his own. :p

Unfortunately the Republican party has already been hijacked by people like Lindsey Graham. Keep sticking to the status quo, it really has done the party well. :D

Out of one side of his mouth he was talking about expanding the GOP tent and winning elections and then the next words out of his mouth is RP get out of the party.
So just who is he expanding the party to??

Anyone catch the end of the speech?

He wanted to expand the party in Delaware, Maine and Illinois.

Here are the big-name candidates and Republicans in those states.

Delaware: Mike Castle, a dynasty unto himself and a Republican firmly planted as a 'moderate'.

Illinois: Mark Kirk, another moderate

Maine: Olympia Snowe, the most liberal Republican Senator and Susan Collins, the 2nd most liberal.
