I like this guy better than Chris Simcox. He is pro-secure borders without the baggage.

I like Jim Deakin better than all of them. Chris Simcox and this new guy will just split the anti-mccain vote more & more. Plus there's accusations of Simcox being a child molester. (http://blogs.phoenixnewtimes.com/bastard/2009/09/chris_simcox_lobs_an_acorn_at.php)

Chris Simcox and his border fence scam (Google it) is not someone I personally would want to hitch my wagon to. J.D. Hayworth has held elected office and knows how to campaign; like I said, he is Simcox without the baggage.

Also, notice how Simcox very conviently doesn't mention his stance on the Iraq war on his campaign site's issues page (http://www.simcoxforsenate.com/index.php?p=issues). It's about the only major issue not addressed. I think he might be trying to simultaneously keep us on his side while not alienating hardcore Arizona republican primary voters; who are mostly pro-Iraq war.

Uhhh.... Hayworth is a typical conservative Republican... nothing close to a Ron Paul Republican

I just don't see enough where Hayworth has gone against the wrong positions of the GOP majority for me to take interest in him.

He voted for No Child Left Behind, for Medicare Part D, for all the Bush and Clinton militarism, for the Patriot Act, and for all the managed trade agreements.

I don't know enough about Simcox to know if whatever it is that tarnishes his record is enough to make him less appealing than Hayworth. But for me to take any interest in an out-of-state race, there has to be a candidate with more to offer than that. If Hayworth was just on the wrong side on a couple of those litmus tests, I might support him (like I probably would support Flake if he were in that race), but not when he was wrong on all of them.
