Hi all -- First post here, though I periodically lurked around here and Daily Paul.

One of the best things about America is/was freedom. Now yes, we are a nation of laws, but the laws on commerce are wholly and unquestionably anti-American.

No more whiskey burnin' down Copperhead Road, it appears.

Welcome.

And fear not, for every moonshiner or pot grower that gets busted, two more pop up to replace them.

Such is the idiocy of "prohibition".

Just got back from getting my weekly dog food supply and saw it on the front page of the local paper. Hope 1 of them jars wasn't gonna be 1 of my christmas presents.

Just glanced over it. What got my attention was our paramilitay SD had a lockdown drill at 1 of our High Schools. And nobody sees. col(crying out loud)

btw that is the 2nd big moonshine bust this year.

They'll want to have a care. What is to stop people from hijacking trucks of "legal" alcohol? Respect for private property? Respect for the law?

Make no mistake, the American Revolution featured Patriot Pirates.

I've been to a few of them pickin and grinnins. But civilized government has stopped most of that.

This is sickening. I'm so sick of hearing of people getting raped by the state over victimless crimes.

Why do we not retrain these agents in the skills of detecting nuclear/radiological materials and place them at our ports and borders?

Personally, I am more concerned about an islamo-fascist sneaking into the U.S. to do real damage, than I am about a moonshiner in the hills of North Carolina. Our priorities are ass-backward.

tax free alcohol is illegal.

ah, yes, the heart of every matter- govt didn't get their cut.

do you know if there is a legal process for someone to legitimize their sales of moonshine?

depends on your state.

in louisiana, i believe you have to buy tax stamps for all the alcohol you produce for yourself.

thanks. At least there exists a legal route in some states, though that doesn't mean that i agree there should even be govt. involvement at all.

i fear california may do something similar to marijuana. they will legalize it with taxation. meaning, it would be illegal to grow your own without first buying tax stamps for each plant.

tax free alcohol is illegal.

Corporations can hire tax free labor, but individuals can't make their own tax free booze.

You can make it tax free if it's to burn in your alcohol burning diesel auto.

That would get expensive. But you can use it in a gas engine. :D

Personally, I'm more concerned about the agents themselves, abusing the rights of the people. Can we put cowbells on them or something? Maybe nerf guns too ...
