This seems fishy to me...

If they don't already have a file on you, giving them your info (including SSN) would probably start a file...

I'd fear that by sending a request they might start to wonder why I want to check my file and open a file on me. :)

When I went this hacking conference some guy that was having a talk on privacy showed us how to use FOIA to obtain our files. We did not have to give them our social security number back then.

See I have mixed feelings about this, cuz in January, I'm flying to another state. I'd like to know BEFORE I get to the airport if I am on the watch list. I have reason to believe that I may be because my Minuteman org has been investigated by SPLC and reported to the DHS.

Not sure what to do about it.
