;) Personally, now would be a GREAT time to retreat, Sarah, ... all the way back to the shores of the United States, not some remote outpost of the dying American Empire. The word, defeat, must be the most hated word in the English dictionary to an American politician. If only politicians and the American people would see defeat militarily in Afghanistan as winning economically. The welfare will stop one way or another. Look at the price of gold relative to the US dollar. Hint of the future ...
