I like to search Twitter every once in a while to see what the chatter is about Ron Paul. I came across some interesting tweets.

http://twitter.com/tristanvalencia

"Random LAX morning... In line with Kevin Sorbo & his guitar. Just met Ron Paul in the Burger King line... #fb"

"@Eric_Wicks no pic. He was on his way out. Me just arriving. Nice guy though."

"Wheels up for DC. Looks like I may get that pic with Congressman Paul after all... He's sitting two seats to my right. #fb"

"DC! I have arrived!! Much props to Virgin America Business Class. No other way to fly. Talking with Ron Paul was interesting as well! #fb"

Looks like Ron flies on Virgin Airlines :)

Then this thing out of the blue:

shellyroche "Awww... CUTE! RT @Barret_Swatek HOTTEST: Ron Paul at "Couple's Retreat" premiere: http://bit.ly/DcxHL (http://wireimage.com/ItemListings.aspx?cbi=82300&igi=395942&nbc1=1) (@allahpundit @shellyroche @andylevy)"

So let me get this straight. Ron and his wife decide to attend a red-carpet premiere for "Couples Retreat" of all movies? I find this hysterical.

All of this after he walks the streets of NYC and kicks off an impromptu End The Fed protest in the midst of armed to the teeth cops and attack dogs? It just seems so "Mr. Smith goes to Washington".

The more searches I do, the more positive they become. Call me crazy, but I really think that if he is convinced to run again in 2012, he has a legitimate chance of winning the whole shebang.

Lmao @ Ron Paul seeing "Couple's Retreat" in Hollywood

Vince Vaughn stars in that movie, so I am guessing he invited Dr. Paul (Vince Vaughn gave "End the Fed" a glowing review)
It doesn't seem like his type of movie :p

Ron Paul and Vince Vaughn seem to be buddy-buddy!

Thanks for posting this; twitter has some interesting applications.

As for Ron running again in 2012, we need to develop a strategy of things we can do that will encourage him to run. Off the top of my head, I think winning CPAC in 2010 is the most important thing we can do. Getting at least one liberty candidate elected in 2010 is also of vital importance.

Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Yeah, I just figured that out after google searching RP and couples retreat. I think Vince Vaughn flew him in and gave him and his wife a "couples retreat" of their own. From a man whose favorite movies are from the 1940's, I doubt that was his type of flick!

Yeah.... I'm not sure this would be RP's type of movie.... I hope he wasn't too shocked

somebody asked him one time the last movie he saw, and he couldn't even remember.... and said his favorite was like Gone With The Wind

I doubt he enjoyed watching the sex scenes, although I suppose it is better than being in one (Bruno)

Trivia question of the day: What do ex-presidential candidate Ron Paul, Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner, Academy Award-winning actress Helen Mirren, a grown-up “Ralphie” from “A Christmas Story” and “Karate Kid” Ralph Macchio all have in common?
Vince Vaughn

Answer: They all attended the “Couples Retreat” premiere in L.A. Monday night

I can just picture Vince Vaughn reading something Ron Paul wrote, and his incredulous-look face going, "Holy shit man." *looks around* "This makes sense."

Carol looks like she is having a friggin blast! :D

I like this quote from another thread courtesy BuddyRey

"Can you imagine what it must be like to live in relative obscurity as a country doctor and later as a widely ignored U.S. Congressman, then to find yourself suddenly become an international superstar in your early 70s?"

Good to see Carol happy & healthy. I'm hoping she maintains her good health so that Ron can run again in 2012! :)

I was thinking we could do the same thing we did to Giuliani. But instead of hounding him at every chance, bombard the area with signs of "Please Run, Ron. The country is (probably) ready for you now!" to the point where the local media begin to cover it". The grassroots, but only in reverse. Something like that.

When even the FREEPERS are singing Ron Paul's praises, you know there is a boatload of momentum he is riding right about now.

Wow! Last time I checked that site, Ron Paulers were banned.

Now they seem to have a voice.

I saw a comment in a thread that I liked. It was in response to a comment that said something that Paul was too radical. The post said someting like "Ok, but can't we lat least tru it his way? If we get to the point where we have too much freedom, or we find that the rest of the world can't run itself, then we can address that then. But can't we at least try to head that way?"

I know! I had to do a double-take. And not only are the Paul supporters on that site emboldened, they're actually making fun of the Anti-Paulites. Who know the term "Paulites" would be used in a positive context?

And the Freepers are using terms like "he's for a strong defense!".

Here are some goodies:

"God bless Ron Paul, the only congressman striking at the *true* root of tyranny. And all you rabid anti-Paul nutcases can pucker up and approach my behind with reverence."

"Oh No! If something is a big deal on LGF (http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/?entry=28353&only&rss), the biggest, most influential site since NewMajority, it must be troo and mportunt!!!1! Hold on while I try to get my give-a-darn working. It doesn't respond to Charles Johnson talking points very well. No good. I guess I'm stuck judging Dr Paul by his actions and his supporters' accomplishments." ()

"It’s the equivalent of a racist writing a check into a Salvation Army kettle. But facts don’t matter to the Paul bashers."

"It must be driving them nuts to see Dr Paul’s success with his second bestselling book, and extremely popular bill to audit the fed. Some say he’s the most (or only) powerful Republican in Congress." (this is probably true, as amazing as it sounds)

But there's still a huge love for Palin there.
