I don't know when he has his first show but I added the blog to my RSS Feed.

Apparently Don Imus' debut (http://www.dailyfinance.com/2009/10/06/imus-debut-is-a-ratings-hit-for-fox-business/)was pretty successful (a 1,500 percent) improvement over the previous show in that slot.

We (libertarians) may finally have a dyed-in-wool presence on TV. Only once a week unfortunately.

He mentioned several times that ABC had some topics they wouldn't let him do, but he also wouldn't name them as long as ABC was signing his paychecks.

Yeah,I think that was a pot shot a ABC. I guess they muzzled him a bit too much. It remains to be seen whether News Corp. will do the same. Also I'm coining a new term for the News Corp neocon behemoth: Murdochtopus.

This is following in the steps of the Kochtopus (http://www.lewrockwell.com/gordon/gordon37.html) since their methods seem to be similar i.e. monopolizing a movement's voices. The Murdochtopus owns Wall Street Journal, Fox News, Weekly Standard (just let it go but the writers always appear on "Special Report on FNC), New York Post, Marketwatch.com etc.

Yeah, I'm thinking he just got traded from one master to another. He's probably still going to be in chains.

I've been thinking about getting an RSS doohickey, I'll use it for music mostly though. If Stossel's shit is off the heezy, then I might subscribe.

"The government who robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul," George Bernard Shaw once said.

For a socialist, Shaw demonstrated good sense with that quotation. Unfortunately, America has become a laboratory in which his hypothesis is being tested.
The theory of government I was taught says that government provides benefits, primarily security, to the entire population. In return we pay taxes. But lately the government has been a distributor of special privileges, taking money from some and giving it to others. America is now about evenly split between those who pay income taxes and those who consume them.

The Urban-Brookings Tax Policy Center recently disclosed that close to half of all households will pay no income tax this year (http://tinyurl.com/nzm59k). Some will pay less than zero – that is, they'll get money from those of us who do pay taxes.

The Tax Policy Center adds that this year the average income-tax rate for the bottom 40 percent of earners will be negative and that their cash subsidy will equal 10 percent of the total amount the income tax brings in, thanks to the Earned Income Tax Credit and President Obama's "Making Work Pay" program.
