Terrorism: More Than Meets the Eye

Art Thompson, JBS CEO | October 2009

For some time, we have been trying to create understanding about the importance of exposing terrorism and who is behind it. Why? In the March 1978 JBS Bulletin, Robert Welch explained:

...terrorism...is now the most dangerous and important facet of the Insiders’ comprehensive design for enslaving the whole human race... Next to war, terrorism is the most certain means to use to propel people into accepting more controls from their own government. If both war and terror are used in tandem, the two create a compelling force to influence our fellow Americans. The reason is that people want security.

Robert Welch discussed this strong desire for security in his September 1963 speech entitled “Medicine Leads the Way (http://www.jbs.org/news-center/birchtube/171-Medicine+Leads+the+Way?userid=64).” He stated:

The great basic theme, excuse, and selling point of collectivism always is security. The word and the concept have so powerful an appeal that many people
are willing to pay a fabulous price in other values for even the flimsiest and most visibly exaggerated promise of security. And, security is perennially held like a bauble before the masses by the ambitious demagogues to beguile the masses into supporting all of the foundation planks on which tyranny is erected.

Now in practice, security is obtained for one of just two things: for either freedom or labor. And throughout all of history, the trade has almost always been for freedom.

He then went on to discuss both political security as well as economic security.

In addition, Benjamin Franklin warned us about a certain consequence of excessive yearning for security: “Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.”

In 1991, the President of the United States issued an official, overt policy calling for the establishment of a New World Order. The publication of National Security Strategy of the United States presented the plan as a way to provide security for our citizens. The Foreword in this publication was entitled “A New World Order.” It was signed by George H. W. Bush.

From that time on, security has been both the watchword and the stimulus employed by a conspiracy to bring the American people into a collectivist world empire. Bush’s son continued implementing the agenda and gave us both the Security and Prosperity Partnership and the Department of Homeland Security to merge us into the North American Union.

Security from possible terrorist attacks now provides the excuse to establish more government and involve our nation in more wars. Yet, our government hides the true source of terror in order to join in carrying out that agenda with its real source: Russia. That agenda leads to the establishment of a New World Order.

The masterful article by William F. Jasper in the August 17, 2009 issue of The New American entitled “Terrorist Targeting of Police (http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/world-mainmenu-26/asia-mainmenu-33/1562)” summarizes the fact that Islamic terror is in reality nothing other than the old Russian communist terror network with a new coat of paint. An additional article by Thomas R. Eddlem in TNA’s September 14, 2009 issue, entitled “The Soviet Roots and Branches of Major Terrorist Organizations (http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/world-mainmenu-26/asia-mainmenu-33/1782),”
further documents that the Russian-sponsored network supplies leadership and training for the major Islamic terrorist groups.

The use of terror by the Russian communist apparatus has been perfected to a grizzly art over the past 90 years. Its leaders have employed lessons learned from the Reign of Terror in revolutionary France and other notable terrorism campaigns used by Insider-controlled governments and organizations over the past 230 years.

The use of terror today has become so sophisticated that it is now used as the reason to wage war.

Let us remember the lesson George Orwell outlined in his famous book, 1984, where he coined the phrase “Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace” to explain the Inner Party’s use of war to manipulate the population. Also, we should always recall what Shakespeare had Henry IV say in his play of the same name, “Be it thy course to busy giddy minds with foreign quarrels.”

War takes the minds of the citizens off domestic problems and they complain less about taxes imposed for the war effort. In the name of supporting the war effort, populations will subordinate their freedom to conquer the enemy. In addition, anyone pointing out the fact that essential liberties are being lost during the struggle will be shouted down for not supporting the troops and the flag, and even find themselves accused of treason.

So we see the combination of terrorism and war heightening public anxiety and steering our citizenry into acceptance of more undeclared wars and such unconstitutional agencies and practices as the Department of Homeland Security. Right now is the first time in our history that one war has necessitated another, then another, setting the stage for even further undeclared wars: perpetual war as Orwell called it.

If one does not fight the right enemy, he loses.

The American people have been cleverly fed disinformation holding that modern terrorism is Islamic. Literally tens of millions of dollars have been spent on this falsehood. Aimed primarily at the Christian Right and Jewish populations, it has taken on a life of its own, and a whole cottage industry has been built up around publications and DVDs. And people actually purchase and distribute the disinformation aimed at them.

Not since the concerted effort to sell the American people on Chinese communist leader Mao Tse-tung and denigrate America’s ally Chiang Kai-shek, have we seen such success in having its targeted victims purchase the propaganda aimed at them.

To bolster the influence of this disinformation campaign, some Muslims themselves have been lured into adopting more radical versions of Islam, even encouraged to migrate into Western countries where they foment religious and racial animosity. This results in the further breeding of hatred on both sides which could lead to a widening of the conflict in the Middle East. But more importantly, this distrust and hatred diverts people away from looking beyond the simplistic and commonly voiced categorization of the problem as solely “Islamic Terror.” It is a tar baby.

Fighting the wrong enemy will never stop terrorism. It ought to be obvious but surely isn’t to most that al-Qaeda cannot be a stand-alone entity. We know through TV documentaries on such channels as PBS that the National Security Agency (NSA) was monitoring Osama bin Laden 24 hours a day and seven days a week prior to 9/11. Once the attack occurred, we were told that NSA had lost him, claiming only that he had fled to a cave in Afghanistan.

Since then, there have been almost daily reports of terrorist activity from Central and North Africa across the entire Muslim world (a quarter of the circumference of the globe) stemming from either al-Qaeda or al-Qaeda connected groups.

Intelligence agencies already have technological capability to intercept all means of communication. But we are now told that they can’t find Osama who is supposed to be running this vast empire of terrorism from a cave, or while he’s on the run from one cave to another.

This certainly does not compute and it leads to one of two explanations. One, al-Qaeda is state-sponsored or state-protected. Or two, our own intelligence agencies are compromised. My own opinion, based on the evidence available, is that the answer is a lot of number one and too much of number two.

Recent revelations from whistleblowers and other sources have exposed our government’s increasing and substantial ability to intercept digital communications of all kinds. This capability, while raising legitimate and serious concerns about simultaneous encroachments on Fourth Amendment protections, also allows our government to track and intercept financial transactions used by terrorists and arms merchants. These abilities, we should expect, can be used to trace terrorist activity, including that of al-Qaeda and its leaders — or any terrorist organization for that matter.

No one engages in manufacturing, selling, and shipping of arms who isn’t regulated by a state. Arms dealers aside, when we see terrorists with Russian or Chinese arms, at some point the Russian or Chinese government is surely involved.

We tend to think that, just as in America, Russia and China have privately owned factories where arms are manufactured. This is emphatically not so. All weaponry manufactured in these countries is produced by government- owned and -operated facilities. Their products are not sold or given to anyone without their government’s knowledge.

Even in other countries, free enterprise in the arms business no longer exists — if it ever did — no matter how interesting the plots in novels or movies might be. We may see arms dealers here in our country, but elsewhere they are state-sponsored merchants of death. At the least, the state acquiesces in the deals.

Closer to home, my own opinion is based on the manner in which the Patriot Act was presented and passed after 9/11, on the whistleblowers who have been trying to get media attention about prior knowledge by certain government officials about 9/11, and on my own travels around the country.

I have witnessed too many disturbing things in my travels to believe in any way that it is the intent of our government to protect the citizens as much as it is to control them. The sad part is that most people cannot see this because they do not have a broad enough picture or know enough to recognize what is going on right before their eyes.

This is especially true regarding our law enforcement personnel. Our metropolitan police departments are told, thanks to Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Department of Homeland Security, that the people who are their natural allies, such as constitutionalists and veterans, are really part of the terrorist threat.

The men and women who will feel the brunt of any wholesale terrorist campaign within the USA are the police and firefighters. Military personnel will also be targeted. These are the Americans who need to know the identity of the real enemy.

We have started a new website to assist in our campaign to inform many more Americans over the Internet about what terror is all about and who is behind it: www.ExposingTerrorism.com. In addition, I will be traveling to 20 cities to discuss in a major speech what we call the terrorist triangle: Russia, Islam, and American Insiders. And, we have a number of new tools listed at the end of this article.

The most important step we can take in the education of fellow Americans about terrorism is to share our information with opinion molders, police, and Christian Right leaders. If we do a good job, our efforts will overcome the campaigns of the neo-cons and cease their use of slanted information that supports the Insiders’ agenda.

When it comes to terrorism, one of the worst ways supposedly designed to combat it involves having our armed forces merge with Mexico’s to provide “security.” It is not
that the Mexican army can’t provide protection for their own citizens from the drug lords. It is that the Mexican army is part of the problem. As far back as October 1977, Robert Welch stated in the JBS Bulletin:

The Institutional Revolutionary Party, which has controlled Mexico for half a century, began to be really revolutionary, politically, under President Echeverria in 1970. Under his protégé and successor, President Portillo, since 1976 the increasing use of brutal terrorism has been added to the exercise of political guile. With Fidel Castro supplying the impulse, the guidance, and even some of the professional terrorists, for wiping out all sanity, stability, and other features of civilization in a realm that is separated from our country by only the Rio Grande.

The reason Mexico has not proceeded further down this path is that by the late 1970s developments in the United States stimulated by the growing anti-communist movement, led by The John Birch Society, had thrown the Insiders’ timetable into disarray. This meant that they had to slow down their progress in Mexico to match other steps being taken toward creating a socialist American hemisphere. Thus, it is only recently that we again see the problems described by Robert Welch occurring in Mexico, this time with the added twist of “drug lords” thrown into the mix.

We witnessed events in Mexico in the 1980s and 1990s paralleling those in the USA, especially with the emergence of phony conservatives such as President Vicente Fox. These put a damper on the growing resistance and at the same time, maintained the gains made by the Insiders, consolidated those advances, and set the stage once again for moving forward against a new generation of Americans that had lost its fear of communism, and a communist Russia that had recovered from a completely exhausted economy.

It has been a well-kept secret from the American people that the communists had taken over Mexico in 1914, three years before the Bolshevist triumph in Russia. The history of Mexico in the 19th century saw one communist-style revolution after another.

It is a scary thing to pass by a Mexican army barracks and see revolutionary slogans emblazoned on the entryways. Or to drive down the Mexican highways and come to army roadblocks and a machine gun staring at you. These were “normal” occurrences in the 1980s before the so-called drug lords became a problem. It is not something I read about; these are things I have actually seen for myself.

The incidents of torture and the policy of “Plata o Plomo” on both sides of the war between the Mexican military and drug traffickers are growing. “Plata o Plomo” means silver or lead. In other words, play along and you get rewarded. If not, we kill you. And, supposedly to counter all of this, our government is sending money south of the border to solve the problem. The real problem is that the more money we send, the worse it gets.

One shudders to think of such an army as Mexico’s stationed inside the USA in the name of “security” as part of a North American merger of armed forces. Our government has already signed an agreement with Canada for its troops to come into the United States in case of an emergency, either due to disaster or civil unrest. Recent visits by the heads of the Mexican military to our Armed Forces make us ask whether they, too, might have already secretly agreed to such an arrangement.

It matters little to the victims of terror if it is implemented by so-called terrorists or by an army. If we do not educate our fellow citizens about terrorism, having Mexican and Canadian troops stationed on our soil in the name of “security” is a real possibility.

Our educational effort about the background of modern terrorism will also serve to stifle the move toward a North American Union once people understand its full ramifications.

It also matters little whether employing Sharia Law, or the DHS, or foreign troops becomes the vehicle to destroy our Bill of Rights. The end result will be the same. Yet there are some Americans who fear Sharia Law while they applaud the restrictions placed on the American people in the name of security against terrorists who want to impose Sharia Law.

It is very important that we expose terrorism for what it is and what it is not. Our future as a free country depends on it.

Do not think for a moment that all I have described above is happenstance. Or mere mistakes that will be corrected voluntarily. What we are witnessing is a well coordinated series of events planned and implemented by a conspiracy. Our efforts have staved off the implementation of many plans of the Insiders in the past. Simple exposure and sufficient education aimed at important segments of our society have accomplished this. This is what is needed again.

Just as we do not always see the problems that the Insiders face, neither do we always see the indirect results of our individual efforts. Sometimes one member in the right place at the right time with the right information has been able to accomplish wonders. We urge all to be that one member in your community.
