Just $32,000 more and we are at a cool $1.2M! Just curious why the "end of the quarter" ends at midnight Eastern time. After all, if someone in California donates before midnight their time, would it not still be in the 3rd quarter?

Oh well. I am going to make one more donation here because I think 1.2 is a nice sounding number!

I'm not so sure about this (though, I admit, I'm in no position to know for sure). I mean, what are they going to do, go through each one and look at the address and say "yep, this one counts...nope, this one doesn't...this one does..." and so on?

I threw in $177.60 yesterday to celebrate the $1M. and at the last minutes another $450. All together my donations were about $1,100 and I just wish I could afford to max out to the full $2,300. Now it's time to concentrate our efforts about getting people registered and vote in the primaries. One thing at a time, it's slow but we're getting there! Come on people, rise up, do all that you can do! I know I'm pumped!

Well it doesn't make sense that the 3rd quarter ends 3 hours early for people in the pacific time zone. Besides it is still 9/30 in Cali.

If this doens't go through local time for folks, then people in the central time zone and points west would be getting jipped out of time. Of course, I must admit that I've never watched another campaign as closely as I have this one so I don't know whether this is SOP or not. We also have to keep in mind that most of these campaign finance regulations were written before the advent of on-line banking and donations so it may well be midnight eastern (DC) time. I just can't wait to see the totals for the quarter no matter when/where it ended!!!
