Q4 ends on 12/31, so if this is a fundraising thing -- it needs to end by 12/31 to help Rand for that quarter's fundraising results.

It's not.

The idea is to get people to go door-to-door, make and hang banners, paint barns, post signs around town, etc.

It sounds to me like it's meant to be analogous to the Ron Paul Christmas vacation canvassing effort leading up to the Iowa caucus.

Yup, that's the plan! Although I assume more of an effort will be focused on the Spring Break Vacation and the effort just before the primary. The timing behind the Iowa effort was due to the fact that the primary was held during the 2nd week of the vacation. Point being, people have short memories and we wanted to have a strong presence just before the primary. If things go as planned, we will have one for winter break, one for spring break, and then just before the primary.

The primary is on May 18th, and a lot of students will be out of school by that time.

Sometimes when I am at work I don't get reception. I'll post some things in the subforum soon. Jeff Frazee recently contacted me about these vacations, so this could really develop into something fantastic. He's working on determining what he is allowed to do within the confines of the law.

I spoke with Jeff this evening myself as a matter of fact.

I like the Spring Break idea because of better weather. However, if you do a Christmas break there is a better chance of scheduling a time when all students can come. Spring Breaks are all over the place. My wife and I go to the same school but her Spring Break is not the same week as mine.

Hey Everyone!

My name is Lance Wheeler and I am the State Youth Coordinator for Rand Paul. I will be organizing the Winter Vacation and I am excited to see so many already singed up to spread the message of Liberty to the citizens of Kentucky. First what I need to know is who all is going to be able to participate and when. If you will be participating in this great event please e-mail me at Lance@randpaul2010.com

This is what I need in the e-mail
1) Name
2) Location during Winter Vacation
3) Dates you can help
4) Any experience you have in previous campaigns.

I will be releasing a strategy memo soon showing everything from what type of actions we will be doing to where everyone will be meeting up.

Remember to E-mail me if you are interested!

Thanks
