View Full Version : A week after Obama was its guest, David Letterman show starts to fall apart

Strange coincidence perhaps. I watched part of Letterman show from last night and strain was obvious - Letterman's nervous giggles and extended facial distortions were painfully obvious and only led to more awkward sexual innuendos and repetition of same questions to guests. His bizzare exchange with guest Larry David was hopefully not planned to cultivate audience sympathy for Letterman, conversation quickly changed to women, dating, sex, loneliness in showbiz, blowup dolls and more. It was weird even for Letterman.

Was he making too many administration jokes?

Only jokes he was trying to make last night besides dating and sex were about Palin's book. Even Palin material didn't seem to work that well for him with top 10 list going pretty flat.
I saw elsewhere that NBC's Fallon took a shot at Letterman:

"There was book written on 360 reasons women have sex with men and Letterman knows top 10 of those reasons" LOL

The latter.

Seems that way.

So I checked google news to see what is being reported, looks like this is not going to end well for Letterman.

Letterman Haunted by the Ghosts of Monica Lewinsky Jokes Past

Since David Letterman went public about having sex with members on his staff, one of his myriad humiliations is having all those millions of "sex with interns" jokes he made about Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky turned back at him.

David Letterman should have kept it in his Worldwide Pants

Great boss: Stephanie and Letterman during one of her appearances on the show

She looks familiar, not too long ago she used to bring gifts to his audience on the show if I'm not mistaken, Dave used to tease her now and then with comments but they seemed pretty harmless at the time.

I don't watch his show; but I do remember watching it a number of years ago when they had a guest with some animal on the stage. The animal got free and ran under his desk.....the cameraman followed --impromptu, unplanned -- and got a great shot of a big bottle of bourbon under his desk. I realized at that moment what was going in his guests' cups and it wasn't water.

I'm sure he served only water to Obama when he was a guest.
