that has a historical slant on the founding of our nation. My wife is a 4th grade teacher, and due to the district guidlines cannnot teach outright on U.S. History, but does have a small window to read books out loud to the class.

Any ideas?

thanks

This one isn't historical in any way, but it's supposed to be a great libertarian-themed book for youngsters.

Thanks. Read the reviews, and will pass this along to my wife for an appraisal.

Looks like a good read.

Totally didn't read this article, but you may want to.

Mentions The Giver, which was a good book, but I don't remember that much libertarianism in it.

On the Giver: (Spoiler alert).

A boy is born into a socialist society where everyone is equal. He sees an abortion-equivalent and has a mental breakdown. He runs away and the government searches for him hardcore. On the last page he finds a not-socialist society and is happier.

Was a fun read when I read it in 6th grade for school, and now looking back I realize it was good for my political views as well.

Also, I read this short story in my 8th grade English class. About a man in a socialist country who is just too awesome to bring down to equal.
