Some rough notes from part 1 of the speech, where John Ralston Saul presents media examples of Propaganda regarding Globalization and discusses issues related to this propaganda.

Gov'ts are more powerful than markets
Society is taking the direction that it is due to the communications revolution
Admission that Intellectual Property will have major impact on Int'l Trade System
Globalization defeats competition through the creation of global oligopolies
No discussion about the direction that we are heading
Globalization needs more PR to be sold to the losers.
If Globalization is inevitable, then how can its undoubted overall benefits be at risk? If it can be at risk, than it cannot be inevitable.
Protectism can not be allowed to return
German leader says we need to develop a code to protect ourselves from the marketplace.
Where is the massive national intellectual discussion on this new system?
It was acknowledged by Microsoft that it was an Oligopoly, and the EU forced MS to sell code to competitors in order to enter the EU marketplace.
