I disagree completely when government says that because of the number of head injuries from accidents with motorcycles that he should be forced to wear a helmet. I happen to think he’s stupid if he rides a motorcycle without a helmet, but that’s one of our sacred rights–to be stupid.

I was watching Nick Gillespie's interview on Freedom Watch, and he mentioned that Reason did an interview with Ronald Reagan about libertarianism, so I looked it up.

By the way, Reagan doesn't want to do away with public fire departments.

volunteer fire departments are actually just as effective in louisiana.

In Lone Pine, we pitch in voluntarily.
The bills are very small because the station had a lot of stuff donated to it.
People wanted their house insurance rates to be cheaper, so it wasn't hard to find people who wanted the fire station.
