And Chuck DeVore is getting closer...we have a chance in CA.

"Any incumbent who polls less than 50% is considered vulnerable, and 2010 is shaping up as a tough political year for Democrats."

Election 2010: California Senate
2010 California Senate: Boxer Beats Fiorina, DeVore
Friday, September 25, 2009

So far, so good for incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer in match-ups against her two best-known Republican opponents to date in California’s 2010 race for the U.S. Senate.

A new Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 survey of the contest in California shows Boxer now beating former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina by 10 points 49% to 39%. Four percent (4%) like some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are not sure how they will vote.

In July, Boxer led Fiorina by just four but had a 47% to 38% lead in March.

Against state Assemblyman Chuck DeVore, it’s a nine-point race, with Boxer ahead 46% to 37%. Seven percent (7%) prefer another candidate, and 10% are undecided.

Any incumbent who polls less than 50% is considered vulnerable, and 2010 is shaping up as a tough political year for Democrats. Still, Boxer, who is expected to seek a fourth term in the Senate next year, was reelected in 2004 with 58% of the vote, and California remains a heavily Democratic state.

Male voters give DeVore a eight-point edge over Boxer in that match-up and break even with Fiorina in the race. Women prefer the Democrat by double digits in both contests.

Voters not affiliated with either party favor the Republican in both races.

Twenty-seven percent (27%) of California voters have a very favorable opinion of Boxer, but 28% view her very unfavorably. Just seven percent (7%) don’t know Boxer well enough to venture at least a soft opinion of her which highlights the priority for many challengers: increasing their name recognition.

By comparison, 32% are not sure what they think of DeVore, and 33% say the same of Fiorina.
DeVore is viewed very favorably by seven percent (7%) and very unfavorably by nine percent (9%). Eight percent (8%) have a very favorable view of Fiorina, while 12% regard her very unfavorably.

At this point in a campaign, Rasmussen Reports considers the number of people with a strong opinion more significant than the total favorable/unfavorable numbers.

Six percent (6%) of voters in California rate the U.S. economy as good or excellent, while 52% say it is poor. Twenty-nine percent (29%) say it’s getting better, 43% worse.

But 52% worry the federal government will do too much in reaction to the country’s economic problems. Forty percent (40%) fear the government won’t do enough.

That's why she signed onto 604.

She's trying to jump on that train! She probably wants to undermine the legislation...

Did you even read the first post? You really should be banned if all you're doing is making negative comments. Schiff & Rand Paul aren't that close to beating their opponents right now. And DeVore is in striking distance despite not having any major money bombs from us.

Schwarzenegger, Wilson, Reagan...we have had a few Rs win State-wide office. The timing is better than ever for an upset of some Dems that bear responsibility for this mess....
