PITTSBURGH -- A small plane was diverted after it flew through restricted Pittsburgh airspace Friday afternoon while President Barack Obama and other world leaders convene for the G-20. A general aviation aircraft, a small, single-engine plane, crossed into the flight restricted area, which was set up for the G-20.
The plane was immediately met by an F-15 fighter jet and was escorted to the Wheeling/Ohio Airport, officials said.
Authorities are still investigating the matter.
The airspace will be restored to its default status after the G-20 summit concludes Friday evening.
