i dont know if anyone has been watching this speech....but Qaddafi has been riping the U.N. for the past 20 minutes, and has been dead on with every word.

Yeah, I'm watching it. Libya is sitting in the top chair this year, too. Theatre.

Theatre, indeed. And I think he's using Michael Jackson's make-up people too.

That is one strange looking dude.

Awwwwww, is the poor little dictator seriously complaining the the UN is TOO autocratic for his taste? LOL! He is sooooooo beyond ironic....

Seriously, there is nothing funnier than a dictator suddenly demanding democracy in NY where he does not get to be dictator. Talking about jet lag? Man this dude can ramble.

It's usually the translator. Qaddaffi is in a very good position over the US right now.

I'm sure the translator adds many layers of nuance. Not sure what you meant about position though. The only thing I have heard that makes any sense so far is moving the UN somewhere else so the jet lag is not so bad. Though he seems sure that would not reduce our monetary contribution in any way.

Now we have Qaddafi is rehashing Kennedy assasination theories? Is this a speech or just a stream of conciousness thing?

I love the blurbs off to the side. I didn't need the CIA to get that the guy is subject to "bizzare" behaviour.

I can'tbelieve that he's still talking, and that he apparently doesn't have any speechwriters on his staff.

He is making some good points, but he's also rambling all over the map - historically as well as globally. Who killed Kennedy? Who killed some Palestinians? Why was the President of a sovereign nation executed by men wearing masks?

LOL - Fox news just cut him off and said that if they were polite they would refer to Qdaffi's speech as wide-ranging, but instead they were going to use "rambling."

A similiar approach to how they reported on Ron Paul (and the rest of the 2008 candidates, actually) - subjectively

I wish his interpreter had an interpreter. I could hardly understand what was being said.

Just heard Qdaffi was only slotted for 10 minutes but took up an hour and 1/2.

Seriously. He could pass for an alien from the Cantina scene in Star Wars.

I found his speech interesting. It's just plain ignorant to call it random ramblings that make no sense and say, by the way he looks funny!"
