Dear Ron Paul Forums,
I am putting forward a petition to have Bill Hunt deemed worthy of our support on Ron Paul forums. My case is as follows. The Liberty movement has grown exponentially which means that we have to not only protect the movement from within but also make sure that our rights are protected in the process. With an ever looming police state on the horizon and concerns of martial law this in an urgent area that needs to be defended. The Sheriff holds the highest power in the county and can protect and defend our rights. This is one of the reasons of the importance of this matter we need to restore a revolution of values in law enforcement along side efforts of Sheriff Mack and groups like Oath Keepers.

Bill Hunt has protected and served Orange County for 22 years. He worked his way up through the ranks of the OCSD which includes: patrol. swat, swat supervisor, manager, supervisor and Chief of Police for the city of San Clemente. Bill was born and raised in the state of MA. After high school he joined the military where he was an MP. He moved to CA after his service where he met his wife Debbie and they have 4 children.

In 2006 Bill Hunt ran for sheriff of Orange County to expose the now federally indicted Mike Carona administration. Bill Hunt notified his wife that everything they new could change, unfortunately he was right. The day after the primary election Bill Hunt received a notice putting him on administrative leave and was demoted to patrol. Bill chose to retire and start his own Private Investigator business. During his career in Law Enforcement he achieved the rank Lt. third highest in the department. Bill filed Federal corruption charges agasint OCSD and Mike Carona for political retaliation. The case has been set to a motion and taking place this Oct 2009 which could be a major victory for the Bill Hunt Campaign.

Bill ran an affective grassroots campaign and forced Mike Carona to a run off only losing by 1%. Bill lost by 3.440 votes and was endorsed by the police, fire and most importantly the people. By electing officials in key departments it will help inspire more freedom candidates to become involved. An example of this is look at what is happening with HR1207 where were all these people 3 years ago?
Bill Hunt was sworn in by Oath Keeper Sheriff Richard Mack on 8-1-09 at his first fund raising event. Bill Hunt has had his rights trampled and understands this, which makes him a uniquely qualified leader in our movement.
You are the trial and jury and I hope you will join me in this effort to elect Bill Hunt as Orange County Sheriff for the June 2010 race. If you want Law Enforcement reform and sick of leaders abusing our rights then lets do something about it.
