What if, instead of contacting our respective reps, we contact ALL OF THEM. As in, we each go on an individual campaign to speak or write to EVERY state representative. Why not?

I did something like this back around late 2008/early 2009. I e-mailed almost every state legislator in the country about issue(s) related to state sovereignty. Collecting all of the e-mail addresses was an extraordinary amount of work, and thankfully I still have that list compiled, which should make it easier for other people who want to do something like that: http://reformedapologian.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

If anyone does want to write a bunch of these legislators, though, be sure to pace yourself so that you don't get accused of spamming.

The list should be mostly current. I'm pretty sure I have some retired legislators in there, and probably missed some active ones, but the list should be fairly complete. I thought I found a wiki-type website a while back that had a similar collection of addresses, but I was unable to find it when I searched around a bit just now.

I firmly believe that the state legislatures are the most important place we can possibly focus. I suggest that the freedom movement lobby them to pass bills similar to these: http://www.georgiafirst.org/governor/bills.shtml

I'm planning on doing a post later with a specific proposal for this type of contact plan. I firmly believe that the state legislatures are the most important place we can possibly focus.

Thank you! I believe the same thing. It seems that the more we contact our representatives, the more sh*t gets done! (Imagine that?) But why stop there? Why only contact our reps, when we could multiply the number of messages in their respective in-boxes by the hundreds or even thousands? How could a representative go to sleep at night without at least acknowledging our concerns at that rate?

Using your list, as well as the resources now available to us on the C4L web sight, we should be able to get several enthusiasts to send such emails (myself included, of course). In fact, why not have a campaign of sorts online encouraging and inspiring people to do this?

If we can get bills like the ones at http://www.georgiafirst.org/governor/bills.shtml passed in just a few states, I believe that the national impact will be immense. This is the key to saving the republic. I wrote about McBerry's legislative plan at http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=205155 and I definitely believe in its potential.

Personally, I suggest focusing on the states that already have some solid 10th amendment activity: having passed a sovereignty resolution in one or both chambers, or passed a firearm freedom bill, etc. Generally, conservative-leaning states. You know, it would be fantastic if C4L had a petition campaign regarding state sovereignty and calling for legislation like McBerry's, where the petitions were eventually delivered to every state legislature (at least with all signatures from their respective states, if not from the entire country).

Or both! Why hold back? C4L can be a very useful tool for the movement as long as ideas such as yours are implemented. We need to act collectively to get people's attention.

I suggest that whoever supports this petition idea in favor of state sovereignty legislation contact Campaign for Liberty and ask them to organize it. It would definitely be a worthwhile effort.
