I think we should try to get Ron Paul on some bigger media shows like Jay Leno.

We should also try Letterman. He had Obama & Gore (promoting his book) on recently, and maybe Giuiliani too.

I found the contact info for Letterman at this website: http://www.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/contact/

We'll direct your comments and questions to the appropriate departments of the "Late Show."

Jay Leno doesn't want us to question authority and wants us to stop complaining and shut the hell up:

So I'm reluctant to believe that they will get Ron Paul on the tonight show, but maybe he's changed his opinion now, who knows

Maybe it is the ability to drive from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic Ocean without having to present identification papers as we move through each state?
Apparently he hasn't heard of the National ID Card

Or possibly the hundreds of clean and safe motels we would find along the way that can provide temporary shelter?
When's the last time Leno stayed in Days Inn or Super 8.

Or could it be that when we wreck our car, emergency workers show up and provide services to help all and even send a helicopter to take you to the hospital.
And then thanks to the illegal who just ran into you not having insurance followed by your own health insurance company trying to weasel out of covering your own claim, you're forced into bankruptcy just for the helicopter ride alone.

Or if, while at home watching one of your many flat screen TVs, a burglar or prowler intrudes , an officer equipped with a gun and a bullet-proof vest will come to defend you and your family against attack or loss.
Sorry Jay, we don't all have private security like you do.

This all in the backdrop of a neighborhood free of bombs or militias raping and pillaging the residents.
Unless you're in New Orleans or Philadelphia. Ok, I'll give him the free of bombs on this one.

I'll stop here. This could go on all day.

Wow I hate Jay Leno a lot more than I thought I did.

Hey everyone, I'm new here.

I saw this topic, and I just wanted to point out that I don't think Jay Leno wrote that. http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/hitnail.asp I'm not sure what Leno's views are, though.

Jay Leno did not write that.

It's typical for conservative extremist to distort the truth.

Jay Leno is not that kind of "let them eat cake" celebrity and would not make those kind of remarks. In fact he has made numerous jokes about politicians shredding the Constitution, so he plainly is aware of what is going on.

good, so I guess we're going to flood their mailboxes with polite request? I've done my part.

We need to get the Daily Paul and other big blogs to cover this. That way we can mobilize everyone.

My first question was, "Did Jay Leno really write that?"

I still don't know whether he did or not, but I exhort people to be very careful about what they see on the Internet...do not assume anything is real until you have multiple corroborating sources!

We had a saying in college -- "I may have gotten a D on my final exam, but at least I'm not a starving Ethiopian."

That reminds me of what Leno wrote. The joke, obviously, is in the irrational levels of smugness and complacency.
