The graphic is showing me there is only 7.5 hours left. Are they trying to panic us or what?

I think your computer's clock effects it. Try changing your clock and see what happens.

Try changing it to Oct. 1. It doesn't like that.

Earlier it was saying 1 day, 12 hours left. We still have all day tomorrow, so wtf?

It's probably just a glitch or something. Mine still says 1 day, 6 hours. Some people on here have the same problem as you and some are just fine. But the real time we have left is 1 day, 6 hours.

Oh my gosh!

Why do people keep saying this? Are you sure you actually LOOKED? Because I've refreshed 100 times now and it has said "1 days" every time.

I know. I'm not sure where the problem is. Others say they're getting the correct number. I'm getting 4 hours. I played around with the clock on my computer. If I move it back to yesterday, the countdown clock changes to 2 days, 4 hours, if I move it to tomorrow, it shows 0 days, 4 hours, but if I move it back to today, there is no reference to days at all. It just shows 4 hours, 23 minutes and xx seconds.

Weird.

Have you tried to do anything to fix it? Reboot your computer? Delete temporary internet files in internet options? Delete cookies? Check your system clock?

They are saying it because that is what they are seeing. I'm in the same boat, when I first checked today it said 1 day and the number of hours. But for the last few hours it has only been showing the number of hours.

LibertyEagle

It's bad, because I don't want people to be going to the site in another few hours and think they're out of time and therefore do not donate. :(

I changed my calendar to the 15th so now we can all relax because we have 15 more days to donate.

hhmmm.... says 6hrs for me too.

If they are updating the totals in real time, there is no reason why they can't get the time off mean greenwich time.... nobody should be seeing different times...

and this is weird because JUST 3 hours ago, it was showing the correct time. IT ONLY works off of your local computer time if the time is client side generated.. else the scripts can grab the time from the timestamp on the server...

Does it say " days, x hrs", or is it just "x hrs" and completely leaves off the days part?

If it doesn't mention days at all, it's a time bug somewhere. If it does mention days, but is blank in front of it, it could be something else.

Hook

Probably an overflow error with the script they are using. As the time goes down below 7 hours across time zones, the glitch probably moves east to west across the states.

Must be a glitch in the Matrix :D

I'm in central, and the time is still right for me. If I change the computer clock back a day, the time is correct for yesterday, but if I change the day to tomorrow, it says there's 9 minutes left.

There's definitely a time bug somewhere. I'm interested in seeing what happens 9 minutes from now.

This should be running off server time rather than people's computer's times anyway.

Now it gives the correct time for me if I change my clock to tomorrow. Is it fixed for anybody that was seeing 6 hours?

Doing a full reload of the page fixed mine.

born2drv
09-29-2007, 04:16 PM
I refreshed (in firefox) .......nothing

I opened up explorer (I never use) .... and it shows the correct time, 1 day, 5 hours,e tc...

so it must be a cookie, temp file or some other thing.

maybe for some of us who have been watching it for too long ;)

i wouldn't worry about it... i think new donors who see the web page will have the correct time, all us squatters know what the real deadline is anyways :)

swf files are cached. In Firefox, ctrl-shift-del, uncheck everything but cache, then do a refresh and it will reload the counter from ronpaul2008.com.

I'm using Safari on a Mac. It tells me only a few hours left as well. However, when I select "Private Browsing" in Safari and reload the page, it posts the correct time. Interesting.

EVERYONE STOP FRIEKING OUT!!!!!!!! if you follow the instructions already left on this thread you would see that there is no reason for it

in firefox go to Tools, then clear private data, uncheck all the boxes except for cache then hit OK and THEN refresh the page

YOU MUST CLEAR YOUR CACHE THEN DO IT OTHERWISE IT WONT WORK

MIDNIGHT ON SUNDAY IS WHEN IT ENDS
