Total size of Govt in US $6.4 Trillion with Est 2009 GDP $15 Trillion. This means govt spending is almost half of all economic output or 42% If this isn't socialism I don't know what is. I think the number is even higher when you factor in the cost of regulation which I believe to be around $1 trillion.

Robert Welch, Founder of The John Birch Society, predicted today's problems with uncanny accuracy back in 1958 and prescribed solutions in 1974 that are very similar to Ron Paul's positions today.

You gotta love all of the senior citizens who are protesting "socialism" at the town halls. "Don't touch my social security, medicare and subsidized drugs! Just say no to socialism!" :rolleyes:
