Are you guys familiar with this term? I only really encountered it recently. It seems to represent the view of the left - Hillary and somewhat Obama - better than the term "liberal" - there is nothing liberal about authoritarian socialism. Liberal should mean live and let live. They are certainly not about letting live. To me communitarianism represents what we are really up against - at least from the left - and is a scary amalgam (spelling) of the worst the left has to offer.

It appears to be a small scale voluntary Communism (non-government), where a group of people work together and share things.

I have no problem with that.

Nor do I, if they support individual rights. (Thought they were endorsing something they call "the third Way"--something Tony Blair was selling last time I looked.
When I assessed that, it turned out to be just another name for Socialism.)

If a group a people want to get together and live in a Communist community, go for it. If they want to turn the Government into Communism, I'll stand up and fight.
