My sincere hope is that these people are experiencing a metamorphosis and education which is in process and not yet mature. I fear that they'll shut up as soon as they get a White neo-con in office?? It's hard to say. Are they truly catching on? Is freedom catching on? Are we opening eyes? Are they just latently racist and would prefer George Walker Bush taking away their freedoms? We'll watch.

edit: I know we had real Ron Paul Republicans out in force, not talking about you guys.

The poster of these pictures titled the account "Meet The Crazies" and all the pictures have horribly ugly liberal comments under them. One picture shows a guy listing Amtrak, Social Security, Medicare, and the Post Office, pointing out that they're all bankrupt.

The posters are saying "OH, the post office turns a profit each year! They just keep it small as to not take advantage of the taxpayer!"

WTF planet do these people live in?

The reason I posted these pictures is to try to clue REAL libertarians into the fact that the Ron Paul Revolution is currently being hijacked by Glenn Beck and Mark Levin and Fox News.

I read a lot of people on this forum who are happy that at least "the message is getting out".

If I posted pics of Gadsen Flags it would give the impression that this was a Ron Paul crowd when in fact it was a Glenn Beck crowd with a relatively few Ron Paul people desperately trying to get the real message across in the middle of the madness.

If in 2012 Sarah Palin is elected president the 2013 "9/12 march" will have about 2,000 Ron Paul supporters and nothing more.

First, EVERY story is "spun". Unless a computer or robot produces a story it will be biased. All humans have bias.

Second, if this forum is filled with what people want to believe instead of what exists then we will have a false sense of accomplishment when, in fact, Ron Paul's movement will be slowly infected by the News corporation agenda.

Which is exactly what is happening at the moment.

What good is it to point out the relatively few C4L signs and moments from the rally when the overwhelming majority of what was actually there was "Glenn Beck is God" type symbols?

People are beginning to get pissed no matter which group they fall in. Whether republicans, dems, indep, libs, etc, etc.
People are losing their jobs, their homes, their incomes, even their food stamps, their tired of wars, their tired of their 401K's losing value, their stock going down, their votes/voices falling on deaf ears.... no matter what it is for "you" the people are getting restless ... this is where WE come in to enlighten them.

Hell, at least they are off their couch and we can have a conversation face to face for a change.

If we were clever we would focus on the areas we have in common and build from there. Outrage over the debt and deficit is a key starting point. The next logical progression is the FED. There is no way we could run the current magnitude of deficits without a central bank and fiat currency. Easy conversation to have.

One thing "we" meaning the Ron Paul people can say: We are the ones who really started the "Tea Partys".

Many of us see the Bush/McCain/Palin people taking over I guess that is because there are so many more of "them" than there are of "us". I feel somewhat incensed that after listening to many of the speakers that there was absolutely no mention of Ron Paul or the people who support him. One of our guys were there I did not here him say anything about "us" either.

There were several congressmen taking all the credit and none of them was Ron Paul and that really sticks in my craw dammit...

cause it still looks like we are the fringe of our on ideas... the pictures prove it. Why are we being minimalized why doesn't Ron get any credit??????????

I think the OP is a neocon. Seriously. He's started a number of these anti-liberty/pro-Fox News type threads.

I'm anti-"wars of choice", anti-Fed, anti-Bush, anti-Cheney, anti-Palin, anti-"drug war", anti-warrantless-wiretaps, anti-"Patriot" Act, anti-Financial "aid" to Israel, anti-Financial "aid" to Egypt, anti-Department of Education, anti-Department of Homeland Security and anti-fiat currencies

I'm pro-Ron Paul, pro-Peter Schiff, pro-C4L, pro-Rand Paul, pro-sound money, pro-Tenth Amendment, pro-Second Amendment, pro-First Amendment (aww geez...I'm just pro-U.S. Constitution!), pro-REAL free trade, pro-capitalism, pro-personal responsibility, pro-George Mason, pro-American Republic and pro-Austrian School.

So, yeah...I am a hardcore neocon! ;)

BTW, re:Fox News...

Since they are a private company I feel they have the right to freely manipulate their audience as they wish. The audience has a responsibility to not let themselves be manipulated. In that regard, it is interesting to watch Beck, Hannity and others use "liberty" as a trojan horse for "Cheney". If the populace cares not to ask questions of Fox and seek REAL liberty then the populace gets what it deserves.

I agree with this. There were 1.5-2 million folks in DC saying FU to government and people are upset about a few sign here and there. Glenn Beck is a positive influence. I mean I can stand only so much "I don't trust them" nonsense before it makes ME want to puke.

There is not some massive conspiracy behind every news anchorman or pundit. These folks are human beings. They will make mistakes, hold view that are inconsistent with liberty at times. But you cannot say I turst no one and slink back into your little clique and wait for the end of the world to come.

There are millions of people are willing to fight for liberty. It's where we need to go as a nation. I was happy as hell to see these people parading through in their cars on Saturday. Do you know what I usually get to look at? People with Obama bumper stickers with that look of entitlement to them.

On Saturday I saw people with freedom messages, little American flags on their cars....really it made my day. There were literally thousands and thousands of friends of liberty there. And all 1.5-2 million came to protest the expansion of government into our lives, and the out of control spending. This is very consistent with what people on these forums should believe in.

Good point that audience has to be objective and skeptical when consuming MSM news (or any media nerws fir that matter). But if a private company like Fox manipulates its audience, doesn't accountability apply to them too in addition to audience?
Professionally trained media with all the access to news and spin technologies can easily mislead many especially the more trusting folks in audience. For example, when 70% or 80% of Fox audience believed few years ago that Saddam was behind 9/11, doesn't blame for such manipulation goes to Fox too?

I would agree that audiences have to take responsibilty for their own judgments but they may not always have the time, ability or inclination to verify everything they hear on TV.

IMHO, some things are so important that you must make the time to dig down deeper and seek the truth.

One thing that would qualify for me is if and when my money (via taxation) is used to subsidize the manufacture and deployment of bombs that may drop on arab children for no reason whatsoever.

There is no law that a broadcaster must present the whole truth on any current event. Bias and manipulation will be baked into the cake of any "news" broadcast.

I think your post represents, " I'm pissed because the liberty movement is not limited to my little private "clique" anymore."

No i'm pissed because the liberty movement has true meaning, the people trying to hijack it do not. It may be a wonderful time to spread the word and try to grab more people, but when the rhetoric is about state rights vs federal rights, everyone seems to forget about personal rights. It's this lack of thought which will lead straight to centralization.

Congrats.
