Well, I’d say it’s eclectic pragmatism at some point. I’m a moderate in some degree because I have wildly swinging opinions but through some sort of ideological feng shui they end up in the middle. Some swing far to the left, others to the far right. I’m for the war, but I’m also for gay marriage. I don’t care if two folks with the same genitalia want to get hitched, I just don’t want some a—hole from another country coming over here and blowing up their wedding to make a political statement.

You're right. He's definitely not a libertarian but I still listen to him on the radio when I'm driving in the morning. Says some funny stuff.

He's a Democrat who switched parties in response to 9/11. He is a neocon.

He calls himself a Conservative Libertarian, meaning he's most likely strong on national security, pro-capitalism and a social libertarian.

Dittoes. I find him funny still but only when he isn't talking about politics.

Problem is, he's almost always talking about politics.

One of the worst neocons of the Bush years. I won't forget.

Nope. He's no fan of liberty. He's a libertarian in the Eric Dondero sense of the word, which is someone who combines the worst aspects of the stereotypical Libertarian (social liberalism) with the worst aspects of the stereotypical Republican (policing the world), along the same lines of a Rudy Giuliani, so pretty much the opposite of a Ron Paul.

He is Pro War. He is probably a libertarian leaning conservative. Many conservatives get confused about "self defense". It's justified but you have to be careful about what you do in the name of self defense.

Miller hasnt given this enough thought imo.

Dennis Miller is a fan of name dropping and referencing off the wall movies that nobody cares about.

He's as bad as Angela Rubenstein in the stairwell scene of the movie Nobody Gives a Cluck.

He is a prostitute. And prostitutes are whatever the highest bidder wants them to be.

i'm just glad the neocon isn't announcing monday night football anymore. he was awful at the expense of the viewers while he tried to grandstand and demonstrate some perceived (by him) brilliance he has.

he's not a libertarian - not even close.

A neo that is ok with people smoking pot???? I don't think he cares what the gays do either, that disqualifies him as a neo.

Neocon comes in all flavors. Google "michael lucas" the so called neocons gay porn king featured in news a report that came out sometime after 9/11 or Iraq war. He wanted to bomb to hell Iraqi cities, was a gay porn industry tycoon, big supporter of Israel, perfromed live gay sex shows in holy land for Israeli military during its war with Lebanon. That does not mean all neocons are gay but they are not confined to any single sexual orientation.

Very few people (at least intelligent people) fall neatly into a box. He is what he is. I like the guy, but his references are so off the wall I only get about half of them. Of course that is part of what makes me laugh. Conan O'Brien used to imitate him on those pop up TV's... hilarious.

Yeah when he references a washed-up actor for 1942, I just sit there and go "huh?"

Hahahaha... ok.

Not kidding.

You made me google it, it was actually in 2008 and not after 9/11 and was CBS report.

Gay Porn's Neocon Kingpin

While he originally disagreed with Russia's brutal policies toward Chechnya, he now believes that America could learn something from Vladimir Putin. "The American Army can't take Fallujah?" Lucas asks me, incredulous. "Level it!"

He criticizes Republicans, whom he calls "homophobic and anti-Semitic," while labeling ultraOrthodox Israelis "anal warts on the body of Israeli society." But the true objects of his ire are gay liberals whom he sees as overly sympathetic to the Arab side in the Arab-Israeli conflict.

Like many Russian Jews who were forced to repress their identity under Soviet rule, Lucas's Jewish heritage is the anchor of his worldview. He visits Israel annually. Not long after touching down there last month, he penned a manifesto on his website titled, "I stand with Israel, I stand with Jews." Shortly after the Lebanon war in 2006, he put on a live sex performance in a Tel Aviv nightclub where IDF members were given free admission ("in the tradition of American USO-style shows," as a Lucas press release described it).

He seems to be classifying himself as a "gay consertvative" LOL

I like Dennis Miller , I think he's funny.

Yes he very much supports the wars , but for noble reasons. He really believes it is necessary to help protect us from another attack. He may be wrong , but it doesn't make him an asshole.

It's like a wise man once said - The person who agrees with you 80% of the time is a friend, not a 20% enemy

What do you believe, Iraq invasion made us more or less safe?
Patriot act increased or decreased our liberties?

You're right that he's a funny, but some other neocons are funny too to be fair.

Can someone explain why this is important? He won't be running for office, he's a comedian.

I think he just isn't thinking things through. Definitely no libertarian, but I bet if you asked him about regular libertarian ideals, he'd probably go "Why not? Let people do whatever they want." His intense support of post-9/11 bullcrap is not cool at all though. He is a paranoid freak.

one SNL alum ran for Senate and won. You never know if Dennis Miller will run

He's a funny guy and really good on the radio but when it comes to islamic fundamentalism, his stance is blow them up before we get blowed up.

His Ron Paul interview was one of the better interviews he did last year but they obviously disagreed about Iraq
