Workers at ACORN have not only been charged with vote fraud but have also been willing to break the law regarding the prostitution business. By R. Cort Kirkwood

It looks as if the election of Barack Obama means change in more ways than one. It apparently has inspired leftists at ACORN (http://www.acorn.org/), the Association of Community Organizations For Reform Now, a linchpin in the president's campaign, to go beyond mere voter fraud and to also break the law regarding the prostitution business.

ACORN, a housing organization that also provides free tax advice and preparation and other services, is the community organization that went to the mat "organizing" for Obama. Andrew Breibart (http://www.breitbart.com/), the columnist who started BigHollywood.com (http://www.bighollywood.com/), has posted a video (http://biggovernment.com/2009/09/10/chaos-for-glory/) at his new website, BigGovernment.com (http://www.biggovernment.com/), exposing how far ACORN will go in breaking the law.

The video features a film producer and a young woman posing as a law student and his prostitute girlfriend, "Kenya," who went to an ACORN office in Baltimore to secure a housing loan for a brothel Kenya wants to start. They also want to know how to limit her federal income tax and how they can get away with importing underage Central American girls to use as prostitutes. ACORN staff members flatly tell them (http://biggovernment.breitbart.com/2009/09/10/complete-acorn-baltimore-prostitution-investigation-transcript/) to lie on tax forms.

After the introductory niceties, the video continues with an amusing discussion of how to list Kenya's occupation on tax forms. Amusingly, the ACORN tax specialist suggests calling her a "performance artist."

"It's not dancing, trust me," the law student admits.

"But dancing is considered an art," the ACORN staff member assures him. The ACORN staff member agrees with Kenya's beau when he says that "sex is kind of like dancing, right."

Strippers, the official says, "usually go under performing arts, which will be what you are — a performing artist."

The ACORN official tells Kenya she needn't claim all of her $8,000 a month in income because she can claim tax write offs for clothing and grooming aids.

After that, the law student divulges his plan to import and prostitute 13 underage girls from El Salvador. Yes, the ACORN official says, that would trespass the law, but the IRS would consider them dependents with the right paperwork.

"What if they are going to be making money because they are performing tricks too?" Kenya's inquisitive beau asks.

The ACORN tax specialist explains that they aren't legal anyway and that "they don't even exist."

Another staff member tells them to claim the girls are "exchange students," and then assures the pair, "Don't worry. You're fine." She also warns the two to "make sure they go to school."

"But they can still work?" the law student asks.

"They can still work, but they need to go to school."

The first ACORN tax specialist then explains how the pair can use child tax credits for some of the young prostitutes, but not to claim all of them. "I wouldn't put no more than three," she advises.

At one point, the tax specialist tells Kenya to stop calling herself a prostitute.

Unsurprisingly, a national ACORN spokesman went nuts over the video. "The portrayal is false and defamatory and an attempt at gotcha journalism," he told Fox News. "This film crew tried to pull this sham at other offices and failed. ACORN wants to see the full video before commenting further."

Clearly, the film crew was successful in Baltimore, but in any event this type of blatant disregard for the law is typical of ACORN. Its shenangians during the presidential 2008 election were widely reported, and this week ACORN officials turned in 11 of their own workers for falsifying voter registrations in Florida.

According to the Associated Press (http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5g5ZxJgjHzO_C-1f0H0FHImQwjR2gD9AJTJ1G0), the workers "face multiple counts of two felony charges: false swearing in connection with voting and submission of false voter registration information. Each count is punishable by up to five years in prison." The ACORN workers turned in some 1,400 registrations, 888 of them faked. The fake names included Paul Newman, the late actor, who was used in several applications. Yet, AP reported, "There was no evidence anyone voted who should not have."

The late film star isn't the only celebrity ACORN workers have tried to falsely register. Last year, Mickey Mouse (http://www.tampabay.com/news/politics/elections/article852295.ece) and the starting line-up of the Dallas Cowboys turned up (http://abcnews.go.com/print?id=6074157) on Florida's voter rolls, and one voter was registered 21 times (http://www.miamiherald.com/news/florida/v-print/story/700310.html). The fraud in Florida, however, which included registering convicted felons (http://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/local/southflorida/sfl-flbfelons1012sboct12,0,4394707,print.story), was a microcosm of a nationwide effort to put as many voters for Obama on the rolls as possible. Prosecutors in Washington state nailed seven ACORN workers (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/PrintStory.pl?document_id=2003806904&zsection_id=2002111777&slug=webvotefraud26m&date=20070726) in July 2007. ACORN paid $25,000 to defray the cost of the investigation, which uncovered the largest case (http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/cgi-bin/PrintStory.pl?document_id=2003806904&zsection_id=2002111777&slug=webvotefraud26m&date=20070726) of voter fraud in the state's history. ACORN used felons to register voters (http://www.printthis.clickability.com/pt/cpt?action=cpt&expire=&urlID=32142862&fb=Y&url=http://www.jsonline.com/news/statepolitics/32432124.html&partnerID=394139) in Milwaukee.

Unsurprsingly, ACORN was well remunerated for its efforts on behalf of Obama. His campaign gave the group $832,000 (http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/news/election/print_584284.html).

In May, John Fund of the Wall Street Journal reported that Congress will not investigate the group (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124182750646102435.html#printMode) and wants to continue funding this organization with tax money.

Well Beck is wrong when he says NO other media is covering it. I'm glad New American is on this!

I just heard on Brett Baier, the show after Beck's, that ACORN has fired those two employees that helped the pimp and prostitute. Beck is firing shots at the Obama administration everyday. Although most of us don't agree with a lot of what he says, he is making the tiniest of dents in Obama's agenda, which is a step up from where we were before.

haha i enjoyed watching the video

prostitution should be legal

but the whole tax evasion is pretty hypocritical considering ACORN lobbies the government and does stuff to increase taxes and make bigger government.

I can't believe what I am hearing. You got a woman giving this type advice, and you have a bunch of kids in the background playing. People like this shouldn't even be around children.

Wow. Just wow.

I'm all for legal prostitution and paying as little in tax as possible, but 15 year-old foreign-born prostitutes? She didn't even bat an eye.

Not even to mention that those two (the "pimp/prostitute") seemed incredibly obvious.

This really proves Napolitano's point that the camera is the new gun. Another site has been posting emails and internal documents (Google Anita MonCrief) essentially proving that ACORN clearly violated it's 501(c)3 status and essentially channeled government money into Obama's campaign. Nobody cared.

Get a video of some low-level front line employees bein' street, and bam! Congressional action.

Republican Lawmakers Turn Up the Heat on ACORN

A growing number of Republican lawmakers are calling for congressional hearings and IRS audits of ACORN following the release of three videotapes showing employees at the community organization assisting a purported "pimp" and "prostitute" in obtaining housing.

ACORN Losing Support (http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/usnews/politics/1885-acorn-losing-support)

R. Cort Kirkwood | The New American (http://www.thenewamerican.com/)
15 September 2009

It appears that ACORN's venture into prostitution (http://www.thenewamerican.com/index.php/usnews/politics/1857-acorn-vote-fraud-and-prostitution) was deeper than the organization's top officials first thought. Two more videos document amusing sting operations in which ACORN employees offer advice on opening brothels.

Unsurprisingly, this news was not welcome given the fallout after last week's disclosures. On Friday, the Census Bureau, which asked ACORN to help conduct the 2010 census mandated by the Constitution, cut off ties (http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/09/11/census-bureau-severs-ties-acorn/) with the group. ACORN's involvement in counting households was a matter of some consternation because of the group's notorious voter-registration fraud. On Monday, the Senate cut off funds for the group from the House and Urban Development department.
Last week, BigGovernment.com (http://www.biggovernment.com/) posted two videos, each of which featured independent filmmaker James O'Keefe and his assistant, Hanna Giles, who posed as a prostitute, in wide-ranging discussions with ACORN employees about opening brothels. In the first (http://biggovernment.com/2009/09/10/chaos-for-glory/), conducted at ACORN's office in Baltimore, employees advised the pair in detail about lying to the Internal Revenue Service. As well, the employees offered tax advice on how to claim 13 underage Salvadoran girls as tax deductions. The pair told the ACORN employees the Salvadorans would be used as prostitutes. After the video surfaced, ACORN complained about, it but fired those employees. The employees may face criminal charges (http://www.foxnews.com/printer_friendly_story/0,3566,549001,00.html).

The second (http://biggovernment.com/2009/09/11/washington-dc-acorn-video-child-prostitution-investigation/), posted on Friday, featured a similar sting in Washington, D.C., which prompted ACORN to fire two more employees. After the second video appeared, ACORN's Bertha Lewis said the videotapes are fraudulent and threatened to sue Fox News for airing the sting, calling the sting a crime: "A crime it was — our lawyers believe a felony — and we will be taking legal action against Fox and their co-conspirators."

Lewis claimed a similar string operation in Brooklyn, N.Y., failed. It didn't. O'Keefe and Giles conducted the same operation. ACORN employees there explained to O'Keefe and Giles (http://biggovernment.com/2009/09/14/acorn-video-prostitution-scandal-in-new-york-ny/), the latter posing as the prostitute "Eden," how to procure subsidized housing for a prostitution venture without getting caught.

"She's gonna have this business in the house with a bunch of girls coming and doing these things, you know, performing tricks and she's gonna give me the money so I can pay the mortgage," O'Keefe said. "That's how we want to work it potentially. But no one has to know where the money is coming from."

"No," the employee replied. "You know, what goes on in the house, we don't care.... We just help you with the mortgage." As well, another employee advised, "Don't get caught. Cause it's against the law what you're doing, and there's a chance you'll get caught." As well, she says, "Honesty is not going to get you the house."

Piling these revelations on top of ACORN's widely known penchant for voter-registration fraud that is national in scope did nothing for the group's reputation, even though its good friend in Congress, Rep. John Conyers (http://www.conyers.house.gov/), D-Michigan, has refused to investigate it.

Still, House Republicans have moved (http://biggovernment.com/2009/09/15/reps-boehner-cantor-camp-to-irs-sever-acorn-ties-now/) to end all federal funding for the group. And, again, the Senate voted 83-7 (http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/politics/bal-md.acorn15sep15,0,2143555,print.story) to cut off funding for ACORN.

In New York, the Brooklyn District Attorney's Office is investigating (http://www.nypost.com/p/news/local/brooklyn/probe_launched_as_senate_nixes_funds_EHbcP9vbNxA7t 7IdXLqnRL), but not Fox and not for a felony. ACORN is the target.

In Baltimore, the city attorney is considering (http://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local-beat/ACORN-Sting-Filmmaker-May-Face-State-Charges-59130662.html) charges against O'Keefe and Giles. Apparently, Maryland law prohibits secret videotaping.
