Check out the Mexican Peso 1994, Argentine Peso 2002, Venezuelan Bolivar RIGHT NOW, German Mark POST WWI, Russian Ruble EARLY 90's, Zimbabwean Dollar RIGHT NOW, etc.

Fiscal irresponsibility will eventually sink a currency fast. Just be thankfull we are only seeing a gradual drop in the dollar. It still isn't too late to fix things.

One of the only things saving the dollar is it is backed by oil - all oil transactions in the world must be made in dollars.

When we invade Iran and the dollar/oil link goes away, those huge fortunes made in the smoke & mirrors investment world will disappear in the refresh of a computer monitor and the only use for our FRNs will be to wallpaper the doghouse.
