And, finally, why do you slight Ron Paul? Paul not only adamantly and vocally opposes torture. He has always opposed the MCA and the elimination of habeas corpus. McCain does not deserve to be put in the same company as Ron Paul and the Democratic presidential candidates.

I wish to God that Andrew Sullivan would give in to his heart and endorse Ron Paul. He has said so many nice things about him. It would be an absolute coup for the ex-editor of The New Republic to endorse him.

But nooo, he's into this "he can't win" thing. And I think he's afraid of losing credibility with other journalists if he endorses Ron Paul.
