Vote.

In my view, primarily Bush/Cheney & Republican party get the most credit for election of Obama; they helped create the perfect conditions that made election of Obama Hussein Obama possible against all odds. Guilt from Iraq bloodshed/Abu Ghraib, fear fatigue, diminsihing liberties, out of control spending on foreign/domestic freedom projects, arab oil boom, massive exit of wealth out of US and resulting serious economic crisis at home created the perfect storm that sent Obama to the White House.

What say you?

IMHO the media elected Barack.

Then question arises, is it same media that elected Bush-Cheney in 00 and 04?

If so, why the change from GOP to Dems suddenly.
Why the media didn't elect Gore-Lieberman in 00 or Kerry-Edwards in 04 but elected Obama-Biden in 08?
So many questions about media's role.

Don't forget McCain and Palin. And, of course, credit is due to Romney, Huckabee and Thompson for splitting the conservative vote, thus both sqelching Paul and clearing the way for McCain to do his part.

Yea, Republican party as a whole is listed alongwith Bush/Cheney in one of the poll choices. This marvelous achievement took a lot of collaboration.

Such a fine Republican team effort to get the Democrats in that White House.

I say the media, too.

Bush-Cheney had some help with the voting machines- it was 'close' in both of his elections. Obama won by a fairly wide margin.

They had been primping Obama for a run since 2004 when he spoke at the DNC as a first time senator... how often does that happen?

The men behind the curtain. in the back rooms.

The same ones that created the crafted image to sell.

The ones that control the Media and propaganda.

The media combined with the American people's inability to disseminate information thrown at them.

The media were almost unanimously for "The Long Legged Mac-Daddy", with few exceptions. And if you watch cable news (with the exception of Fox News) and read mainstream articles, you will find that they still back what Obama does and the type of legislation he proposes with the Democrats. Racist this, hate-monger that. Many, if not most people, still don't get it.

I'm from Chicago. The people here REALLY don't get it, especially people from Hyde Park, or the yuppies on the north side. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of idiots you might run into on public transportation. They have the mentality which can be summarized by this, "A white man done messed everything up, so it's gonna take a BROTHA to make things correct."

Actually, I blame the American people more than the media. A free republic requires critical thinking, which most Americans don't do.

We can say it was the Republicans and I believe it was to a large extent, but those Republican leaders were played perfectly, by the string pullers, to allow the people to elect a man who would define all of "their" wants nicely packaged. If Bush and co. didn't readily capitulate to the manueverings that they dictated, then we wouldn't have Obama.

It is fairly obvious that Bush and Co. were just lackeys as is Obama.

Wonder how many of these are now all huffy puffy with rage and suddenly want to "take America back" having supported Bush/Cheney's spending frenzy and global socialism for 8 years.

Libertarians and all those who spoke out against Bush/Cheney policies are principled folks who happen to be right even if a small and growing minority and they are fully justified in calling out Obama on his spending and other erratic policies. But all these Bush/Cheney enablers at likes of Fox suddenly getting all pissed about spending are bunch of ill-informed hypocrites. This was an attempt to expose that hypocrisy, they own Obama victory imo and should be gracious now while receiving the rewards of their actions.

The GOP had a strategy it was called "victory thr defeat". reallly, they had aliniated so many republicians and then they set up McCain's nomination to really PO the voters, and if that wasn't enough they had 25 senators not seek reelection in the most crucile election in decades.
Every time McCain got even Dick Cheney went on TV and PO'ed the voters again.
when is he leaving for the new Haliburton HQ in Duboi, I dont't want to hear another word, from him or OBAMA
